So far instead of evoking a lot of emotions in me it has only evoked angst and it makes me not to want to read more as every investment even in MC feels pointless because of his decision. I would say being 549 chapters in and MC having barely any character development (except maybe a tear or two followed by his explanation that his goal is everything and nothing else matters which has been used since like chapter 100) is what's bothering me the most. There is nothing human about Shang’s appearance anymore, his aura feels dead and cold. A visitor amongst the living, who doesn’t belong here. He felt like someone that was fighting against life and death. It was like the living wanted to push him away, but he refused to go.
