I loved how this book was not your typical romance but it was more about each character healing because of the other and how experiences can shape you. Besides Archer being a virgin, shy, and self-conscious around Bree (which I found to be adorable), Archer is sweet and tender.

so this book is about Bree (h) running away from home after experiencing a traumatic event and ended up bonding with a small town's "loner mute", Archer (H). of course that has peaked her interest so she seeks him out and since then, everything started rolling. All they know about him is the accident that happened when he was just a kid, and all they can do is assume he's deaf.

even if he was cautious of their friendship and her intentions, she never gave up to befriend him and make him feel safe and wanted. I couldn’t bring myself to finish the last pages (if you’ve read this, you most likely know why), and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to trust Sheridan again. If you find yourself thinking oh, how convenient more than once or twice in a story, it's probably all too convenient. A lot of the moments between Archer and his disability brought sadness to me and tears on other occasions. theres a lot of ”pick me” action going on with bree over in her little corner with her thinking ”im gonna be different and get close with the odd guy no one talks to” like congratulations, would you like a fucking medal?It is a rarity, but when I find a book where I love the hero and the heroine equally, it makes me a very happy reader.
