Architecting the Cloud is a comprehensive guide covering everything you need to be aware of in selecting the right cloud service model for your business. Providing you with the pros and cons of each service model from the viewpoint of a consumer of cloud services. In Australia we have what Americans like to call 'big skies'. The land of sweeping planes allows ample vantages for watching clouds gather and the heat of the ground works tirelessly to ensure some incredible effects. Cloud computing has become one of the biggest trends in technology in recent years, and it’s hard to find an IT worker who doesn’t have at least some knowledge of the field. He takes it further than understanding the science of clouds and explores the history, art, and pop culture surrounding clouds. You’ll learn about the cumulus, nimbostratus, and the striking morning glory cloud. He takes a witty and eclectic approach to this book that helps you explore these different aspects as you tour the sky alongside him. The book is illustrated with really beautiful photographs along with some line drawings that highlight some classical paintings and even some lava lamps. Whether you’re a weather watcher, an enthusiast, or just really curious, this is a fun book to explore.

Before and since 1802, no matter what they are called, the usual astronomer did not or does not welcome the nighttime clouds. They were and are usually cursed at by the telescopist since nothing or less than the best can be seen through the intervening clouds. Adaptive optics can equal telescopes placed in orbit but the applied technology to remove the atmospheric annoyances of a cloudy night does not yet exist. This book, which is available in hardcover and Kindle formats, presents these gorgeous pictures along with reminders to appreciate the innumerable wonders all around you. You also get some interesting facts like when realistic clouds first started appearing in pictures. You enjoy the bands of pastel colors that form around clouds and learn why that happens. You also explore some photos that incorporate waterfalls and rainbows and that have poetry just beneath them. This is a book meant for those quiet moments when you want to return to center and remember that this world is vast and there is so much to be grateful for. This is a simple book with a lot of nice photographs. I couldn’t fool my Four, though. (“I don’t want to read another book about clouds!”) The layout felt a little too busy and colorful, but it’s a nice little book. Books are the best way to understand different perspectives on a subject. To ensure that you stay ahead of the curve as a cloud professional, it is necessary to build a great foundation of the basic concepts. Here is a list of the top 5 books on cloud computing that will help you master the fundamentals and understand the evolution and current landscape of the technology. Several reviewers didn’t like the book’s layout. Pros and Cons of The Cloud Book byRichard Hamblyn Pros

Even though my Four insists that “clouds are boring,” I almost got him to listen to this whole book without much complaint. Even though this is a mostly nonfiction book, it’s full of DePaola’s charm and humor. The book is very informative but also adds humor in the illustrations and little stories. A must for any weather unit!
