About this deal

A luxurious durable matt finish for interior walls and ceilings.Class 1 scrub rated for easy cleaning. Scuff and stain resistant. Perfect for upcycling, refresh your furniture with this Rust-Oleum Chalky Furniture Paint and give your old pieces a new lease of life Application: Apply when temperature is between 10 and 30ºC. Stir thoroughly prior to use. The product may be applied by brush or roller. If applying by brush, apply evenly following the grain of the wood. If rollering, use a short nap mohair roller. Two coats are recommended.

Rust-Oleum Chalky Furniture Paint works great over old paint, varnish and wax and is made in the UK, available in a 750ml tin Preparation: For best results, ensure surface is clean and free from wax or oil. If wax has been used clean the surface thoroughly with white spirit. We recommend that bare wood, previously painted or varnished surfaces should be sanded before painting. Ensure new concrete is sound, fully cured and free from laitance. Once the paint has dried, use a fine grade sandpaper and lightly sand down the areas where you want to see the base colour.Easy to use with no priming or sanding required on most surfaces, revamp desks, wardrobes or an old chest of drawers effortlessly with a smooth, chalky matt finish If you are painting furniture with lots of flat areas - like a cupboard, dresser or sideboard - a 4-inch mini is the best paint roller to use. A short pile will give a more rustic look, while a foam roller will give a smoother, more polished look. If the popular chalky finish isn’t your style and you want something that adds a stylish high gloss finish then this paint is definitely one to take a look at. A water-based gloss - makes it easy to clean brushes and rollers - it provides a durable and long-lasting finish that is easy to wipe. Do not empty into drains or water courses. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings. Drying Time: Touch dry in 1 hour. Handle after 4 hours. Apply a second coat after 4 hours, if necessary. Full hardness after 4 hours. For indoor furniture only it is nice and easy to apply - brush or roller - and is self-priming - just needs a rub down. But this does mean you will need at least two coats to cover properly. Drying time is just an hour and you can recoat within four hours in the right conditions. Wait another four hours and your furniture is ready to use.

For a vintage look, distress your furniture with a dual tone effect using two similar colours, add a layer of Rust-Oleum Furniture Finishing Wax or Rust-Oleum Furniture Lacquer for the finishing touch If you want to achieve a distressed finish on your piece of furniture, apply one coat of the base colour, and one coat of the top colour. Preparation: Ensure surface is smooth, clean, dry and free from wax,polish, oil or any other surface contaminants liable to cause adhesionproblems. Previously painted / varnished surfaces should be lightlyabraded to provide a key. Bare metal should be suitably primed prior to Coverage: Up to 12 - 14m2 / litre. If you find that you remove too much paint and aren’t happy with the finish, simply pop another coat of the top Stain Removal: Remove any stains promptly, most common stainse.g. dirt, ketchup, mustard, tea, coffee can be removed using a softcloth and warm soapy water. Do not use scourers or abrasive cleanersas these may mark the paint finish. Create a distressed look by applying two coats in contrasting colours then sanding/ scouring when dry. Water based, no priming or sanding necessary on most surfaces. Drying Time: Touch dry in 2 hours. Apply a second coat after 2 hoursif necessary. Hard dry in 4 hours, full hardness achieved after 7 days.
