About this deal

So, this color scheme is not difficult and doesn’t pretend for the Golden Demon. But it looks nice and lets you paint the entire army in no time at all.

To accomplish that you could paint the skin on the zombie some really light color, a very pallid look. You could then apply a thin glaze to give the skin to shift the skin tone a bit towards green, purple, etc. Then cover the ghostly part with Hexwraith Flame. Why not over the primer? Because of this paint looks very bright on the light color and there’s a big contrast with a dark cloak. When you apply it over the Nighthaunt Gloom, the transition looks smoother. I’ll use it as it is for Spirits and magic. And Nihilakh Oxide will work for Banshees. The Emerald Host have been gathered to do the bidding of the Nighthaunt’s Mortarch, Lady Olynder. On her behalf they carry out the Emerald Curse and inflict terrible mortal wounds on the enemy. In practice, this means you can choose D3+1 enemy units on the battlefield, and you deal D3 mortal wounds to each of them at the end of each battle round if you roll a 2+ for that unit. This is particularly punishing for armies with high armour saves and no Ward saves – Kharadron Overlords, we’re looking at you.Retributor Armour: As a metallic gold paint, Retributor Armour would complement the spectral, shimmering quality of Hexwraith Flame. This color combo is a classic complementary color pairing, with the gold acting as a highlight to the ghostly, ethereal green of the Hexwraith Flame.

The new era of painting is nearly here! All 25 new Contrast paints, the seven new Shades and the rest of the reformulated Shade range, plus the smooth, bright new Corax White Spray are all just one week away! The Nighthaunt have access to a wide array of powerful support characters, each of which brings useful buffs to your army. Though competent spellcasters and melee combatants, for the most part their role is to provide area buffs to your allies and debuffs to your enemies.

The easiest starting point for any Age of Sigmar army is the Vanguard box set. The Nighthaunt box set contains: The glazes most miniature painters will find are from Citadel. They offer a range of glazes that cover the primary colors. One of the issues I’ve noticed with this technique is that once you’re at the “done” step, your army in aggregate looks kinda like a big greenish blob. Nothing really stands out even though individually they look pretty cool. That’s why I’m not stopping here. If you really want take your army to the next level there are a few things you do. Fast forward to the Age of Sigmar: Soul Wars release and the Nighthaunt army. To make for ease of painting, and to allow greater variety for those drawn to the spectral Nighthaunt, Games Workshop released two more paints like Nihilakh Oxide, this time geared primarily as ghost paints. That’s everything for this week – don’t forget to join us tomorrow for the Warhammer Preview Online! Summer Skirmish, and next week for the #WarhammerPaintathon on the 17th of July.

When the Drazhar model was first announced, I took one look at it and knew I had to have it. The character was always cool but the old model was, shall we say, showing its age. The new plastic was a huge improvement, and although I was a little down on his rules at first sight I’ve come around on them since. Being able to subtly shift the color of something with a glaze is not to be underestimated as well. All six of these Skaven classics are available from 10am local time today until 8am (BST) on the 18th of July 2022. There are other companies who make mediums for glazing as well, like Vallejo, and others I’m not aware of. Sorry, limited exposure for me with other paint ranges. So after getting frustrated with this I finally decided to come here and ask for some advise. I've had a few units of spirit hosts and hexwraiths laying around not painted pretty much because the last time I tried painting them was when I just started like a year ago so ago so they turned out horribly. They've since been stripped and sat on a shelf and I've improved while working on 40k stuff.

This is where I diverged from Duncan’s tips. Why? Because I wanted to do my own thing and this stuff is like magic. It’s a “Dry” paint so it looks very funky. That’s because it’s intended to be used with dry brushing. You’re going to want to hit the entire model with this step. This is also the step you’re going to really be able to tell if you clean the models well or not. Dry brushing will showcase all your mould lines and if you did a crappy job, you’re about to find out…

When they do make combat, the Frightful Touch of the Nighthaunt is enough to stop the hearts of the bravest enemies. Whenever Nighthaunts make a to-hit roll of six, they automatically wound the target without making a wound roll. Nighthaunt charges are particularly dangerous. After completing a charge move with a Nighthaunt unit you’ll look up the unmodified charge roll on the Wave of Terror table, which will afflict your charge target with a debuff; that might reduce the target’s accuracy, or even apply the devastating Strike Last effect. These products have a broad appeal to all painters, modellers and hobbyists, not just Warhammer enthusiasts.
