My 8 year old great nephew was fascinated with the perplexus and played with it frequently even though he had a lot of new Christmas toys to choose from. Excellent challenge for a game playing pro. Now instead of shooting bad guys while using thumbs only, he now uses his entire body to move a tiny marble around a maze with frustrating results. Talk about a challenge! We got this for our 12 year old for his birthday. He won't put it down. His friends love it too. Gave this to my nephew on Christmas, played with it for the rest of the evening. Even stayed away from the video games that the other kids were playing. He had a long trip just after Christmas, and my brother said that he played with it for hours in the car. Perfectly challenging.It's a fun toy, but I'm pretty sure once he completes it, he might not ever play with it again. If it entertains him for a few hours of his life, then I've completed my goal. I bought this for a my 8, 10, and 15 yo sons. They love it and find it challenging. They have mini competitions with each other which I think is great. I leave it on my bar in my kitchen so they can grab it daily in between their daily task and challenge themselves.

Our original goal was to help teach patience. This item does that and more. The creativity from kids and adults alike has been astonishing. More surprising is the teamwork effort as each helps the other go farther as they understand interactions of spacial dimensions and gravity. I bought it for my 8 year old grandson but my 14 year old has been playing with it and really loves it!!! I'm wrapping it tonight so no more playing til XMAS. I was disappointed that they ran out of the free gift that was supposed to come it!!!! I've told everyone about your store!!
