About this deal

Emma mattresses are based in Frankfurt in Germany, but manufacturing takes place right here in the UK. This brand is truly international. They operate in 20 countries across four continents and are constantly expanding into new markets. They may only be a few years old, but Emma mattresses are making a big impression in Europe and beyond. Find out more Breaking it down, the top layer of the Emma Premium is a layer of Airgocell memory foam to absorb moisture, the next one down is pressure relieving viscoelastic foam, then there’s more Airgocell apparently for additional support for shoulders and hips, then the layer of extra-tall 12.5cm springs, and finally, a layer of High Resiliency Extra foam or ‘HRX’ that’s also the bottom layer of the Emma Original. Emma Premium– Six layers of foam and a spring core make this a truly dreamy-soft and comfortable mattress for all sleeping positions. The 5-zone CarbonFlex core has extra-tall springs for better bounce, while the Airgocell® foam allows the air to circulate and keep things cooler all night long. A Which? Best Buy winner for innovation. Are Emma mattresses any good? This depends on your body type, general sleeping position, and type of pain you're experiencing. We can't cover all situations, but can provide some general guidance:

HRX Supreme Foam - this section at the bottom is created from denser foam and ensures the firmness of the mattress lasts. The Emma Hybrid mattress is designed with your comfort in mind, and with 5 layers supporting you, you're sure to have sweet dreams! The layers include: Elastic Airgocell - this breathable layer helps to regulate your temperature, so you can wave goodbye to sweaty nights. The heavier side sleepers on my testing panel had a mixed response: the heaviest found that they sank in too much and found it hard to turn over easily to the other side, as the memory foam was very hugging and isolated motion to a high level. But the side sleeper with an average body weight slept deeply on the Emma Mattress and hardly felt the need to move throughout the night as it was so comfortable and cushioning. Memory foam's detractors often cite that sinking feeling but the support here is exceptional, whether you’re lying in the middle of the bed or much closer to the edge. There’s a firm bounce here that feels like you are sleeping on something solid but supportive to your body, regardless of your positioning on the bed. Whether you’re star fishing or sleeping next to someone, the Emma Premium constantly made me get actively excited about going to bed.The best alternative to the Emma Premium mattress is the Simba Hybrid Mattress. If you're an Emma mattress fan, we'd encourage you to choose the Emma Original but if you like hybrid mattresses, the Emma Premium and Simba Hybrid are extremely close, in terms of filling, depth and other makeup. Put simply, yes. With a whole cabinet full of industry and consumer awards for each of their mattresses, Emma has shot to the top of the league for quality mattresses. Their use of innovative materials such as their Airgocell®and ComfortAdapt™ foam means that Emma memory foam and hybrid mattresses are responsive to your body. Handily, where other mattresses often require an additional protector, the Emma Premium has a removable cover that can be easily unzipped from the mattress itself for popping into the washing machine. It’s a nice bonus as some covers can become an uncomfortable extra layer to deal with. There are also handles on the side but you won’t really need to use them as this is a no flip mattress. Emma Premium mattress review: delivery & small print UltraDry Cover - this refreshing cover helps to keep you cool all night long, and can easily be removed and washed.

HRX Foam - this layer helps to keep your spine aligned, and give you extra support whatever your sleeping position is.

The next most expensive model is the Luxe Cooling (read our Emma Luxe Cooling mattress review). That's the firmest option in the lineup, although still only medium in terms of firmness. The springs are shorter than on the Premium, and there are specialist foams geared towards cooling. The only slight issue initially is that new mattress smell. It’s entirely dependent on the mattress but the king size for this review did have a slightly chemically scent for almost four days. It evaporated after that time though and wasn’t particularly unpleasant even on the first day.

Zoning - with carefully designed cut outs, this layer provides you with greater support in the areas you need it most. Place the box near the bed frame where the mattress is going, and make sure you've got enough space around you to roll it out.To find out more, browse the selection online, where you'll find more information about each Emma mattress, or get in touch with our team, and they'll be happy to help. Where are Emma mattresses made? Given the subjectivity of mattresses, it's important to see the consensus across the board. We're all very different and have different needs for a mattress. So what is the general consensus on the Emma Premium Mattress?
