About this deal
She has a soft spot for strong guys with big hearts, and thinks the only thing better than one book boyfriend is TWO book boyfriends... or maybe three đ; When she's not writing, she's usually reading, accidentally killing her potted plants, or finding a pet to cuddle. This book just wasnât enjoyable to me because I spent so much of it being uncomfortable. With the heroine, the guys, the plot, everything. I didnât connect to anyone or anything. I highly recommend this book if you want a thoroughly entertaining and romantic book with some intrigue thrown in. It is a RH (no MM) with ultra spicy scenes. I swear sapphic authors can write the spice đ„”đ„”. Iâm literally in love with these new covers!! I mean, look at themđ Iâm going to binge all of these books!
I will say one thing I LOVE about Lily Gold is how she continues the story for a few chapters after the plot. Nothing worse then having just read the plot for it to literally finish right after or a chapter later⊠plus the epilogues are always great đđŒ Having three gorgeous men guarding me 24-7 sounds like a dream come true, but it turns out to be a nightmare. Theyâre always here, watching me. Caring for me. Protecting me. They tell me to ignore them and go about my business, but I canât even think with them so close. The spark is too intense. Whatâs the saying⊠the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. How about three someones. This had a pretty heavy plot, yâall. Wasnât expecting it after the few novels of Lily Goldâs Iâve read before. This almost read like a romantic suspense in parts. It does go HAM. Be prepared for some OTT scenes but theyâre so enthralling you wonât mind at all. Youâll just wanna keep reading what happens next.Alternate cover for ASIN B09311171S One celebrity diva in trouble. Meanwhile, my stalkerâs behaviour is becoming more and more alarming. Heâs photographing me through windows and following me in the shadows. With the premiere for my next movie coming up, will my three bodyguards be able to keep me safe from his clutches? Or will my terrifying pursuer finally get his deadly way? This was fun! If you're looking for an easy and steamy read and don't mind reverse harem, then I recommend you read this. Really enjoyed this book. A but long, I didnât feel it had to be that long. There also wasnât a lot of romance as I really wanted. I just wish there was more cute and fluffy, more focused on the stalker & her life as a celebrity. I knew that when that happened, my life would never be the same again. Never. Iâve never loved a girl so much. Losing her might just break me.â
On top of that, we donât get on. They think Iâm a demanding diva. I think theyâre overdramatic. When a trip to America sends the guysâ protective instincts into overdrive, the sizzling tension between us finally breaks, and I learn my bodyguardsâ butterfly-inducing secret: they want me. The plot was interesting and different from her other books. We actually get a few chapters from âXâ, Briarâs stalker, and it added to the creep factor for sure.
the plot was so boring. the characters had 0 personality. and the spice didnât even feel that natural to me? đ iâm not gonna lie, i forgot everything as soon as i put this down. On top of that, we donât get on. They think Iâm a demanding diva. I think theyâre overdramatic. When a trip to America sends the guysâ protective instincts into overdrive, the sizzling tension between us finally breaks, and I learn my bodyguardsâ biggest secret: they want me. Ok, on to the review: What an amazing book! I know that people often think of romance novels as being âporn for womenâ or not worthy of serious praise, but this book blows all of those stereotypes out of the water. One celebrity diva in trouble. Three overprotective bodyguards determined to keep her safe. As one of the worldâs most hated celebrities, Iâm used to unwanted attention. The story is fast paced, well researched and entertaining. The world building is so detailed that it is easy to fully immerse yourself in the story. Sexy scenes are included throughout the story but only add to the growing relationship between the characters, and occur in various combinations of M/F, MFM, or MFMM. No swords cross in the story.
Once you start reading this book you wonât be able to put it down until the end! So make sure you have plenty of time to devote to this story so you wonât end up reading until the wee hours of the morning and having a book hangover like I did! One other random thing that I loved was that the FMC never became a side character in her own story. This is a complaint that I have with Asian dramas more so than romance novels. But many stories tend to start with a strong but traumatised FMC, but by the end of the story all of the focus is on the MMC and his hurt and trauma. In Triple Duty Bodyguards, Briar is the one that gets kidnapped and ends up in the hospital. The MMCs are still very present and have their own growth arcs and thoughts, but the story stays focused on Briar. (No to get into the psychology of why I love seeing my favourite characters getting hurt). The author did an amazing job of making these characters multifaceted, complex and very interesting. The emotional growth of each character feels genuine, and definitely had me laughing, crying, sympathizing and giving me all the feels. Working as a nanny for the worldâs grumpiest single dad should have been simple. Except I canât keep my eyes off him. And he canât keep his hands off of me. briar is a famous actress who hires a team of three bodyguards after her stalker escalates to breaking into her home. this book follows the guysâ relationships with briar and their work protecting her while the situation with her stalker comes to a head. This one was my favourite out of all Lily Gold books, but I really could have done without the stalker's POV - I found it completely unnecessary and so off putting. Briar might be my favorite FMC in any book ever. This wasnât a sad book/had a sad ending, but Iâm tearing up thinking of how powerful she was. đ„ș Briar has a stalker so she hires 3 ex SAS soldiers to protect her. We get all of their povs but we also get to read the stalkerâs pov too which I found to be so original. Iâve never read a book like that. The characters first meeting then just set the tone for the rest of the novel. Briar was unapologetic in her demands and confidence, while still being human and caring in her emotions. There was such an interesting balance between her âbitchinessâ being an act, and it just being a part of her personality. Not to mention, while she does have some moments of reflection and personal growth, her core personality remains throughout the story. Their relationship buildup and the chaos going on around them was fantastic and totally entertaining. But once the chaos from her stalker was handled I feel like we didnât get very much time with them all actually together in their relationship.
