About this deal

Good book, I'll probably read another by this author in the future but I will probably shy away from it if it is over 500 pages again. I know we can’t really experience what you do but you give us a window to feel that at least we’re there with you. Unlike any standard light fixture, a sculptural ceramic lantern casts shadows in unusual ways, letting light through openings in the form or alternatively, through ultra-thin porcelain walls. Unsure of herself and suffering from a crisis of confidence after having her heart broken by her ex Robbie and currently staying with her best friend, Jane, Ellie isn’t sure what direction her life is going in.

There may well be something in your suggestion that those who realise that we are all broken in some way, cope better than those who don’t.In this last book in the series we pick up the community in 1914 when the country is on the cusp of war and great events are about to take place, some of which will change the occupants of Spindrift House forever. I resolved to find my strength in being recast, and resolved to do all I can to increase awareness of, and to address, the challenges, inequity, and inequality for individuals with disability. They aren’t able to see my disabilities by looking at me, so it’s hard for them to believe that I suffer from chronic pain, fatigue, and other complications. If it's the first time I've read an authors book I know it's special when I look to see if there are any more.

I’m disappointed that I’ve reached the end of the story and look forward to reading more by Charlotte Betts. When Ellie Hesketh is involved in a car accident, she’s comforted and rescued by a very handsome man with very blue eyes who goes by the name of Will. A much-used word, karma is loosely understoodIt’s such a gorgeous novel, filled with great characters and intriguing plot lines which are both light and dark. Chris Gray’s colourful Starfrisk + Monster, arresting and slightly intimidating, is simply about his state of mind as a paranoid schizophrenic. By turns heartwarming and heartbreaking, this story of friendship, forgiveness and unexpected romance reveals the lies we tell to hide dark secrets—and what can happen when we let in a little light. It took a while to realize I am much more than my work—and much more than my diagnosis—and celebrate my quieter, but more blessed, life.
