For some babies the motion is only necessary to sooth to sleep while other times it might be more helpful to keep them asleep longer. The bassinet itself is also a great size, not too bulky, fits great into any space, and is easy to move as well. The storage basket at the bottom is a great way to store diapers, wipes, burp clothes, extra clothes, etc for those middle of then night feeds and changes without taking up even more space.

The movements can be altered via the app or directly on the base and Luci found this fairly intuitive to do. There are five speeds, but when testing the MamaRoo, Luci found most of them too intense for her newborn. At speed four, she felt the motion was more like a ride and therefore didn’t progress to speed five.

The safety straps feel slightly flimsy, but they worked fine and it wasn’t overly concerning at this stage since our baby cannot wriggle out or unfasten the clips herself.
