Before my purchase, I consulted a hairdresser who recommended me to test it out on dry hair if the color wouldn’t stick on wet. Hair quality and how much the hair has been treated will affect the end result when using a color bomb. You can either use a color bomb in one color or combine different colors to slightly change the shade. Remember to always inform your hairdresser when you have used Colour Refresh as you should not bleach your hair right after a treatment. And unlike other temporary hair colorings, this one conditioned my hair making it look and feel very healthy.

How to Use: wash your hair with shampoo, rinse and towel-dry to prepare your hair for the treatment. Luckily, I do have some natural highlights from the sun, most at the ends and some throughout the hair. The color hair mask can work for anywhere from three to ten minutes, depending on the intensity you want. Mixed with the Cacao, it seemed like I wouldn’t get enough red, so I decided to try the Bright Copper by itself. This nourishing, non-permanent mask contains colour pigments that will freshen and boost the hair condition and colour intensity.

Some hand soaps have a tendency to dry out the skin, but the soaps from Maria Nila both clean and moisturise. The pink color bomb is also available in different shades, where you will also find a lighter color and a darker, cherry red color. If you have blond hair but want an ashy shade, you can mix a black bomb and a silver bomb to create the ultimate ash blond look. You can blend all colours with the White Mix to create pastel tones, or mix two colours to create a unique hue.

To get the perfect nuance you can mix the different Colour Refresh colours with each other or use the White Mix to dilute the preferred colour. Always test out any hair coloring products on your wrist first to make sure you aren’t allergic to any of the ingredients! Always start by washing the hair with shampoo and towel dry it, make sure to brush or comb through, then section the hair for a more controlled application and even result.
