About this deal

Six days ago, Joe Lynch was a happily married man, a devoted father, and a respected teacher living in a well-to-do London suburb. But that was before he spotted his wife’s car entering a hotel parking garage. Before he saw her in a heated argument with her best friend’s husband. Before Joe confronted the other man in an altercation where he left him for dead, bleeding and unconscious. Rowan is the hostess and she’s the one who secured the luxury villa for the group. She’s about to sell her company and wants everything to go just right. Rowan is married and has a precocious daughter Odette. The rest of TRUST ME unfolds from multiple perspectives in a very, very, very drawn-out matter, with continuous elements of disbelief. The opening scene of Trust Me is probably the most believable part of this idiosyncratic novel as it lurches into seriously far-fetched territory and didn’t make a great deal of sense to me for well over a quarter of the novel. Kate then thinks that her husband is having an affair. She suspects that the other woman is one of her two friends that are on vacation with her. But which one? The stakes are far higher than she imagined.

I recently read Woman on the Edge, and I wasn't impressed with that one. When I read similar description of TRUST ME, I was hesitant. As I enjoyed this author's 29 Seconds, I decided to give this story a try and... TRUST ME was the second book I read about a woman giving her baby to a complete stranger at a random moment. WOMAN ON THE EDGE by Samantha Baily was the first. So many secrets and Kate has them, too. She has wronged, intentionally or knowingly, all three of her friends at one point or another. Any of them would have a reason to hurt Kate if they decided to do so. And it's beginning to look like someone might be willing to kill to keep the affair a secret. Too many things are going wrong, too many people, including the husbands and children, are acting strange. Just what is going on? Eicher, John H., and David J. Eicher, Civil War High Commands. Stanford: Stanford University Press, 2001. ISBN 978-0-8047-3641-1.Thank You to Netgalley, St. Martin’s Press and T.M Logan for the digital ARC I received in exchange for a candid review! I really enjoy thrillers where I can question "How I would react?", "What I would do?" in similar situation. Who to trust? But soon I stopped second-guessing and just enjoyed the wild ride ;) Joe finds himself in the sights of a ruthless killer determined to destroy everything he treasures. He will do whatever it takes to protect his family, but as the net tightens around him, his life begins to fall apart. Soon, Joe is in a life or death struggle with a cunning opponent who is always one step ahead. This would be a good beach read. No in depth characters to analyze, but a fun plot. And the ending is not believable, but it was still fun. Kate has been friends with 3 other women since college. Now that most of them are busy with careers and family life, it's difficult for them to find the time to hang out with each other. For the first time in years though they are going on a vacation together and this time they are bringing their husbands and kids with them. Staying at a luxurious villa in the South of France sure sounds like a fun time, right? Well, not so much for Kate as she suspects her husband is having an affair with one of her 3 friends. Yikes. Looks like she will have to put on her detective hat to figure out which one is sleeping with him.

The Curfew follows the events of a hot midsummer's night, when five teenagers go up to the woods to celebrate the end of exams, and only four come out... Exciting, thrilling, totally engrossing this fast paced, twisty turny thriller is guaranteed to keep your attention and I absolutely LOVED the ending, my eyes felt like they were holding their breath and didn't want to blink!! We have Kate, the main narrator, and she has some serious suspicions that her husband is having an affair – he’s been working out more lately, spending more time away, and she just read some damning texts on his phone. The worst part? It seems the woman is one of her college friends here on the vacation! Kate is on the trip with husband Sean and their two children. This means the Channel 5 drama could possibly end up changing how and where Ryan is disposing of his victims to make the events all take place near to their West Country home. Meanwhile, his book counterpart’s past living in Manchester with Eileen and then his first wife Lori might also be a little different and made more West Country-focused in The Catch adaptation.

Tim was born in Berkshire and studied in London and Cardiff before becoming a national newspaper journalist. He lives in Nottinghamshire with his wife and two children, and writes in a cabin at the bottom of his garden. Joe’s life begins to fall apart when he accidentally discovers Mel meeting her best friend’s husband at a motel bar. Ben Delaney is rich, handsome, smart, and ruthless. They have a super-smart fourteen-year-old daughter named Alice who sometimes baby-sits William. Ben and Beth have been married for 15 years, and Mel was maid of honor at their wedding. He’s owner and managing director of a software development company that specializes in creating computer games, and Ben loves to play games.
