About this deal

NEW*. For the 5 films below, the Blu-ray set will include the Walt Disney ‘Signature’ edition discs (previously released in the US, but not the UK) which feature new bonus materials. 101 Dalmatians, Bambi, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. The Lion King disc is also a ‘signature edition’ disc, (as released previously in the 2018 box set & 4K sku).

The Post-Renaissance Era: (1999 - 2008) These Disney films are a mix of hand-drawn and computer-generated films, many (such as Treasure Planet) use both techniques. In this "Post-Renaissance Era," Disney gradually moved further away from traditional hand-drawn animation and fairy tales in favor of computer-generated movies. This era could also be seen as a Second Dark Age Disney, with a few standout releases, but a definite step down from the previous batch of Renaissance Disney films. The 5 films below are not available on Blu-ray disc, so DVD's are included instead (as per the 55 movie collection released in 2018). As I await the next Disney Renaissance, I've put together a list of Disney Parallels for those hungry for more 2D Animated Classics. That list can be found here: This list does not include the Disney/Pixar films (such as Finding Nemo or Coco), nor does it include the many Direct-to-Video sequels (The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, for instance) produced by Disney over the years. The Transition Era: (1960 - 1969) Some might call these 3 films part of the Silver Age, but they have a distinct look that sets them apart (due to a lower budget and the new Xerox animation process). These films were the last to have Walt Disney's direct impact, with The Jungle Book being the final film in this era. NEW*. The Golden Age: (1937 - 1942) These are Walt Disney's first 5 feature films, and are undisputed classics that remain an essential part of the legacy of animation. This list contains all of the officially numbered feature "Classic" films Walt Disney Animation Studios has released. Disney maintains these numbered films, so personal opinion cannot just add or remove films from the list based on popularity. The 5 films below are not available on Blu-ray disc, so DVD’s are included instead (as per the 55 movie collection released in 2018).In 1937, the Walt Disney Studios released its first fully animated feature film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and pioneered a new form of family entertainment. More than seven decades later, Walt Disney Animation Studios continues to honour its heritage through animated films that combine beautiful artistry, masterful storytelling and ground-breaking technology. Relive & own forever 57 Disney Classics from 1937-2019 with this special collection celebrating the output of the Walt Disney Animation Studios.
