In terms of getting these wet when hitting the gym or getting caught in the rain, you won’t have any concern with the Free2 Classics as they come with an IPX4 rating. What this means is it can handle high-pressure water jets or be submerged up to 1 meter deep if you wanted to wear these when swimming. Using the Free2 Classic wireless earbuds for making or receiving a phone call is easy. Tapping either earbud two times will answer an incoming call and automatically pause your music at the same time. The audio quality is acceptable, capable of transmitting clear voice without any noticeable distortion. We tested calls in three seperate instances and each time we had no complaints in regards to the audio quality or wireless transmission. The mic isn't good enough for you to survive a conversation while on a noisy bus or in the city BUT do just fine on a walk. The charging case for the Mini Pro is compact and lightweight. There is a light on the front of the charging case with you tell you the amount of battery life for the case. A green light means 50 to 100%, Yellow is 10-49% and red is 10% or less.

Other features of the Free2 Classic earbuds include 6mm bio-compound diaphragm driver for quality sound, works on a Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connection and supports SBC, a Bluetooth codex. It’s not as good as the codec for Mini Pro earbuds, but it works for the price. The key thing you will notice about the design is the very slim profile they are much smaller than other TWS I have tested. I found when testing the fit on my son these buds fit nicely as he has smaller ears. If you have larger ears you may want to consider changing the eartips for a larger pair which will help with that passive isolation. The buds are quite simple in design they have that SoundPEATS logo on the buds but apart from that, the design is very low profile.
Build/Features
As you can see, there are quite a bit of different functions that can be performed with the touch controls. Unfortunately, we found the touch controls to act up a bit when you’re placing the earbuds within your ears. Naturally, you have to touch the logo area on the exterior of the buds to insert them into your ears. With this, it’s easy to accidently activate certain functions that you wouldn’t necessarily want at that time. It’s not a big deal, but something we think users should be aware of. Long story short: Just grab a pair if you haven't used a TWS before. It's about 20-30 dollars and even goals on sale periodically. Don't bother with Chu, Chu 2, or Jiu, this is the same price. And they can condense and give you QC issues, not to mention you need a dongle (except for Jiu). Please adjust the earbuds when you wear them and try to take one earbud out of your ears and hold them up to your mouth to see if it gets better. SoundPEATS have decided to go with the touch controls for all of the functionality. All you need to do is tap the logo area of the earbuds and they are very touch-sensitive. It may take someone who is new to touch controls a few days to learn how to bring up each control but soon you will master it.

Mini Pro earbuds also come with dust proof microphones and 7 Hours of single playtime on an initial charge. The earbuds are charged using the supplied USB-C cable. It will take you about 1.5 hours to full charge the Mini Pro earbuds which you will do using the charging case. Honestly, I’ve been surprised by the Free2 Classic at most turns. They maybe don’t deliver a top-end audio experience, but they do deliver a top-level built and comfort. If they had active noise cancellation, I’d be even more keen, but that hasn’t stop them from becoming my daily driver. If you are looking for an upgrade or simply want to try a new version of these inexpensive earbuds that offer a good value; Look no further. The Soundpeats Free2 Classic Wireless Earbuds are an excellent pair of wireless headphones with a compact design that is comfortable and secure. The SoundPEATS Free2 Classic are tightly sealed up from dirt and water ingress. In fact, they’re given an IPX8 waterproof rating. This means they can withstand high pressure water jets, and you can submerge them in water to 1 meter depth. In reality, this means you can take them outside in any kind of weather, or even wear them while you shower or swim. In both instances, you need not worry about their integrity; they’ve been rigorously designed for water resistance.
Intro
Who would like to use these earbuds? If you are a music lover who wants a full sounding earbud with the ability to adjust the sound quality, neither of these earbuds are right for you. These earbuds are more for the cost conscious who want a reliable earbud with good sound. For instance, the Free2 Classic earbuds are good quality earbuds for your kids or someone who is a first-time user of wireless earbuds. They are inexpensive and come with good battery life and decent sound quality. Bassy, v-shape signature, with just enough vocal clarity for me to not mind too much. No peaky treble. Big bass bloat. Great for commute and not much else.

In addition, they are IPX5 rated, so they are sweat resistant for workouts, and they have metal mesh over the mics to keep dust and debris out. On the outside of each earpiece is a touch-sensitive control pad, and on the Inside there are 6mm “bio-compound” diaphragm drivers. The USB-C charging at this price-point, has until now been unheard of, and that’s worth something on it’s own!
Great looks, comfortable fit, and excellent sound make these earphones an impulse buy for those looking for affordable true wireless earbuds without ANC. Intro I have taken a few calls on these and considering the audio quality when listening to music making calls was acceptable quality. You will notice the calls are clear without any interference. Verdict The Mini Pro earbuds are IPX5 waterproof rated. This means you can wear them when you work out, but you can’t wear them in the pool. The earbuds will get damaged.

Take the earbud out of the case and press and hold the MFB for 1.5s to power them on manually. You will need to wear an earbud to get the tone“ Power on”. Furthermore, the Free2 classic still had enough refinement to make audiophile recordings like Macy Gray’s “Stripped” sound good, providing decent soundstage and separation between the instrumental and vocal parts, along with good detail and air for the price point. No harshness up top either. I’d suggest that the more modern pop songs that have been compressed within an inch of their lives. Coated in that sugary-sweet production, will sound excellent and that’s absolutely fine. The Free2 Classic isn’t about audiophile-levels of quality, but I promise you, you could do far worse for thirty quid. Some audio, such as vocal-rich country music or acoustic guitar was acceptable. The earbuds seem to deliver certain genres more accurately than others. Anything with heavy bass or deep low tones comes across as a bit weak and empty. In fact, it’s obvious that these are budget-friendly headphones; the audio simply doesn’t live up to any kind of hype. And when turned up to a maximum volume level, distortion comes across on all levels. We’re not necessarily saying these are the worst earbuds available, but they’re certainly not as capable as the SoundPEATS Mini Pro.

Best known for their affordable audio products, they’ve been busy creating their new releases for 2022. Recently, we had the pleasure of testing and reviewing their new Mini Pro wireless earbuds. Simply put, we fell in love with them. Ultimately, they offered the right blend of sound quality and comfort, all within a reasonable price-point. On the other hand, SoundPEATS made their name selling highly affordable wired earphones and headsets that sound good for the price, so I wonder if they can bring that magic over to the Bluetooth side.
