Smith is a dark romance standalone with themes that might be triggering for some readers so do proceed with caution. I love the two main characters, they both are seriously messed up and broken, completely own it and just fit together in a really weird and dis-functioning way. With two extremely powerful lead characters with their crazy personalities, it had train wreck possibilities written all over it. Zuko is one of the Hunter brothers and he is a ruthless, deadly powerful guy and when he turns up at the bar where this sexy voice he's been hearing alot he recognises it right away and now he's seen her he gives of total touch her and die vibes.He was a twisted man with twisted kinks but I liked that he said he wouldn’t do anything kinky if that’s what she wanted! Zuko, the eldest Hunter brother, is the male lead in this story and he is one dark, twisted guy but I quite like him. They hunt and kill without remorse wiping out competition of their clients in exchange for very good coin. I’m definitely going to keep this in my collection and read it every year and can someone please contact someone to make a movie series as well?

Then one day he meets Alaska and becomes enamoured, all the whilst not knowing that she’s also Sage. The way he would take care of Alaska, worried and cared for her was cute 🫂 I loved his twin brothers Kyson and Kenzo moments!There was not a moment where I was not laughing gasping about some I was laughing about what happened I was gasping at some of the spice there was just absolutely everything that you wanted and it was just wholeheartedly a great book and I cannot wait to read books 2 and three and sorry listen to books 2 and three And I am just on the edge of my seat waiting for the next one.

It probably says more about me than the book, but I thought this could have been a little crazier and darker? This book is the first one in this trilogy and it hooks you right in from the beginning with all the hate, drama, betrayal, hurt, lies, family, friends and love.Zuko, one of the Hunters, knows what he wants and he isn't afraid to do whatever he needs to do to get exactly that. For what the promo's I saw promised it just didn't live up to expectations, which is my fault I guess. There’s an extremely serious element in this story, one that Alaska has to work through, but it is a real-life element and it’s handled extremely well.
