About this deal

I get the cherry/almond combo but the aromatics from the lavender helps tone it down and the tonka bean, vanilla and sandalwood help give it a smooth sweetness. I honestly think you can pull this off in any weather and any time of the day as long as it’s the right setting. I don't know in which parallel dimension people live, but in mine I very rarely receive compliments on my perfumes, but the ideal man EDP seems to seduce all noses.

L'Instant, Habit Rouge and Heritage are Guerlain's untouchable masculine fragrance landmarks and set a target hard to achieve with other scents. It is boring now, more generic, butchered down and it lacks that beautiful creamy almond it had before (when the box had all these letters on top of it).

I was worried that it would be too mature however it is extremely mass appealing and I have no complaints! Its versatility is awesome, can be used anytime anywhere and it will fit, however it will be best in office or work. The EDT comes across as extremely smooth, and silky almond dancing on a foundation of citrus, and leather. It is well crafted and unique, works great in cold weather night outs or dates, sophisticated and elegant, will get you noticed for sure.

I remember smelling an original sample of this a few years ago and being struck by how strong this was. The shower gel + 100mL is what I got, and was absolutely worth it, and super shocking to be gifted this. L'Homme Ideal EdT is a rather classy but easy-going almond-centered scent that opens with a rather fresh aromatic citrus opening immediately doused in the L'Homme Ideal signature amaretto (orange peel+almond) accord that stay throughout its life. L'Homme Idéal EdT does remind me of certain fragrances like Armani's Code Profumo, Mugler's Pure Havane, Azzaro Pour Homme Intense and SpiceBomb, but without being similar to none. I originally agreed with the winter/night recommendations for this, and used it for that purpose at Nebraska-type latitudes.

This is so gorgeous and someday I will get my hands on the EDP, but for now, I'm more than happy with the OG EDT. I fell in love with the cologne and used it the most although it is a bit sweeter and heavier than most "colognes" i wear. It’s a semi-sweet gourmand with a much-needed youthful masculine kick which adds all the depth needed to be a great fragrance.

My signature perfume that I want to smell constantly and never get bored for years, this perfume is timeless, you can always wear it even when you go to bed. As the scent progresses, the amaretto accord stays through, with some additional backbone provided by a woody note (cedar) and a very faint and slightly sour leather accord which give some more legs to this scent - on me it lasts around 5/6 hours, not the best performance in class. However the cherry🍒 is too syrupy for me, it literally smells like cherry syrup for a while in the mid and then the vanilla comes around and it turns a bit heavy for my taste (I'm not a fan of vanillas, they either hit or miss for me), also the incense is strong when it dries and I've recently realized I can't take incense notes on my skin, they turn my stomach a bit. I spray it like there’s no tomorrow, because I am an attention whore and I love the way people react to it. Thankfully, it’s not heavy nor boring as its contrasted by Citruses, Sour Cherry, herbal Rosemary, Orange Blossom on a base of Cedar and Vetiver.
