Salmon Run is a new co-op mode, in which players collect Power Eggs and Golden Eggs by defeating Salmonids to complete missions. Tower Control has probably changed the most, now requiring those on the tower to hold off at various checkpoints before they can progress to the final objective. There’s also a brand-new array of special weapon powerups, many of which work well with proper coordination to break stalemates.

The aim of the game is to cover as much of the stage in your team’s ink colour as possible within the time limit. Some of the weapon changes may at first seem overpowered, such as the Charger weapons allowing users to maintain a charge for a short time when in squid form, but the real balancing comes from the new stage design.But having said all that, I'm also quite content with it scoring a 9 as an average, which would still be a fantastic score.

Splatoon 2 still has some really disappointing decisions (like Salmon Run being a timed event, like Splatfest) and no normal map rotation.
