About this deal

The Godox AD300 Pro comes with a 2-year Godox Warranty to provide photographers with peace of mind.

I tested the light in an indirect softbox to eliminate the chance of a hot spot influencing the result. We mean it when we say that your 100% satisfaction is our top priority - we're not happy unless you're happy! The AD600 Pro also offers a very powerful modeling lamp, meaning that this light can also be used as a video light alongside its flash capabilities! Offering a 38w light, as well as a 4-hour battery life from a single charge, the AD600 Pro is a great tool for both videography and flash photography. If you live in an outer-lying area allow a bit longer - some of these areas are only covered once a week.In it’s included reflector, at 2 feet away, the modeling lamp metered at F/2 +.2, at 1/250s and ISO 400. This means just over F/1.0 at ISO 100. It’s extremely dim, and that’s when it’s close, using a reflector. In any type of softbox, it’s going to be even less bright, and less useable. Some might wonder if this will function as a video light, and I just don’t see it being very useful. Not only because of it’s low brightness, but also the fan creates a fair amount of noise when the LED is on max power. At most I imagine you’ll be able to use the LED for lighting close detail shots and getting focus in dark environments. I want to focus on the bi-colour LED modeling lamp, a first for a Godox X series strobe, and no doubt influenced by Profoto’s introduction of the feature on the B10. The AD300 Pro’s modeling lamp color can be adjusted from 3000k to 6000k. Again, this can only currently be done on the strobe itself, not from the trigger. Perhaps this will be added with a firmware update, there’s certainly room for this control on the Flashpoint R2 Pro Mark II. Now, don’t get too excited about this, as it’s only a 12w LED. We use a variety of couriers for door-to-door shipments.• These deliveries are sent out from our Johannesburg branch on weekdays only.

When used in a studio setting, its formidable power is more than sufficient for illuminating full-length portraits, all while eliminating the inconvenience and potential safety hazards associated with cumbersome wires. Moreover, this versatile flash can be easily utilized outdoors, making it a valuable tool for countering intense sunlight or enhancing the impact of nighttime photography sessions. In our tests using a Canon-dedicated Flashpoint R2 Pro 2.4GHz Transmitter, TTL flash metering was a touch on the bright side, equating to half an f/stop of overexposure. Even so, the results were impressively consistent in a wide range of shooting conditions and over varying distances, so you can reliably dial in a little negative flash exposure compensation if desired. Godox AD300Pro: Final Verdict

While I put little weight in the aesthetics of photography tools, the display and buttons do look dated when compared to the competition. Battery and Recycle Speed We have tried to cover all of the features, the specifications, the pros and the cons of every flash unit in the AD range so far, including the AD100 Pro. So, let's start with the newest of the AD series. AD100 Pro Fully Supporting TTL auto flash, Flash Exposure Compensation, First Curtain Sync, Second Curtain Sync, Manual Flash, Multi Flash etc. The AD300 Pro works with multiple camera brands and various accessories using the appropriate adapter. The AD300 Pro allows High Speed Shooting of up to 1/8000th of a second, allowing you to catch that perfect action through beautiful crisp images with perfect lighting. This having been said, the AD100 Pro isn’t the most powerful of lights, in fact, it is the least powerful of the AD range, meaning that it may not be what every photographer needs! If you require more power from your flash or need a burst of light to overpower the sun, this isn’t the flash for you!The Godox AD range of flash heads is by far the most popular of the Godox flash series and for good reason! Every light is powerful, portable, lightweight and exceptionally high quality, so it's no wonder that photographers are all looking to expand their kit using these lighting solutions. However, a few of the questions we often get asked are, what exactly is the difference between the lights in this series, what can each power level of the AD range get you, and which modifiers will these lights work with? To answer these questions, and more, we have created a comprehensive guide to buying your Godox AD flash head!

These shipments are sent out from our Johannesburg branch on weekdays• Postnet parcels take 2 to 4 days to reach the destination branch To learn more about the difference between these two flashes, as well as the pros and cons of this flash, read our AD200 vs AD200 Pro comparison blog.

Godox AD300 Pro Review | Conclusion

The power from the light is enough for any small to medium-sized studio for full-length shots. For my portraits with the light only one to two meters away, I only needed to use the flash with a fraction of its power to give me the results I was after. The quality of light is also great – the color was consistent throughout my shoot, with no obvious or varying color casts over the series of images I shot. The AD300Pro has an internal fan that will come on after enough consecutive flashes for the temperature to rise, the fan is a little whiney, but the volume isn’t loud enough to be annoying, and my music in the studio easily covered it up. Whilst the AD600 Pro is a wireless flash, powered by rechargeable Li-ion Batteries, an AC adapter is available to create a mains-powered flash head. This AC adapter is great for studio work as it means that neither you nor your work is restricted by battery power on longer shoots. By offering the choice between mains or battery-powered, the AD600 Pro becomes an even more versatile, lighting option for all shoots!
