About this deal

One of the biggest differences between the City Select 2 and the City Select or City Select Lux is the weight of the stroller. Thanks to a lighter frame, the City Select 2 weighs less than 27 pounds—making it 3 to 5 pounds lighter than the City Select and City Select Lux. The City Select 2, launched in July 2021, combines elements of Baby Jogger's popular single-to-double strollers and replaces both previous models.

With two full-size seats that can recline coupled with adjustable footwells that allow them to stretch out, the City Select can easily become a nap on wheels. While identical in functionality, if you wanted to boost the style of your City Select, you could opt for the City Select Eco model, which would upgrade your seat fabric and give you a bumper bar and handlebar with leatherette detail. Style and function go hand-in-hand with the City Select 2. Not only do the City Select 2 fabrics look luxurious, they are actually ridiculously easy to keep clean, despite the mess your kids might make. (Goldfish and juice boxes, I’m looking at you.) Seat fabric is washable on a cold, delicate cycle, and should be hung dry. Ease-of-fold Like the City Select and City Select Lux, the base model City Select 2 has a plastic PVC handlebar, with seat fabrics made of polyester and nylon. The Baby Jogger City Select 2 does what few strollers can. A full-sized single stroller, it can easily turn into a double. And, drumroll please, it can also take on a third kid when you add the glider board. Read on for more differences between the Baby Jogger City Select LUX and the Baby Jogger City Select 2.

The City Select 2, City Select Lux and City Select fit the same wide range of infant car seats from several top brands using car seat adapters. All adapters for the City Select and City Select Lux will fit the City Select 2 and vice versa. This stroller comes in at a higher price point than others on the market, especially when you factor in the added accessories. However, in the luxury stroller category, it is on the more affordable end. That, coupled with the limited lifetime warranty on the stroller frame, makes this a solid investment. Safety Create a travel system by adding a Maxi-Cosi, Cybex, or BeSafe infant car seat with adapters (sold separately; compatible infant car seat models vary by brand) Watch the video below for an overview of the differences between the City Select 2 and City Select Lux strollers, covering configurations, fold, pricing, specifications and more. The second seats are specific to each stroller, so a City Select 2 seat can't be used on a City Select, and vice versa.Plus, the Eco Collection offers an upgraded look, too—adding a leatherette handlebar and bumper bar to the stroller for the first time. Also new for the City Select 2 is a foot brake, which parents may find easier to use than the hand brake included on the prior Select and Lux models. Wheels and Suspension All three models have roughly the same footprint, as well as the same weight capacity of 45 pounds per seat. Stroller Weight For the City Select Lux, the seats themselves also fold in half, providing additional space savings. Plenty of room between the seats means more comfort for your kids—more than the UPPAbaby Vista V2 when the second seat is attached

But it retains the same features of the previous models—offering two dozen configurations for a growing family, with more space between seats than most double strollers on the market. For this Baby Jogger City Select stroller review, I used my 6-month old, 2 and 3 year-olds as guinea pigs. I am happy to report that all-too satisfactory naps at some point during this time. And that came as no surprise. Baby Jogger offers a range of accessories from car seat adapters and prams to carry bags and parent consoles to really make the stroller useful for your particular needs.Although you can easily fold with one seat on, I do tend to take it off as it allows for a more compact fold. Additionally, while the fold is incredibly easy, be prepared to do a bit of lifting to get the stroller in your car. At just under 27 pounds, the City Select 2 is lighter than comparable doubles on the market but it’s not lightweight. Comfort
