About this deal

Although her chemistry with Levan is clear from the start, it also seems that he has past issues which he has tried to get away from. Since her ex-husband betrayed her in the worst possible way, she has kept her distance from all men, taking refuge in her start-up coffee business.

I loved the setting of this book; it evokes wonderful memories of holidays in Cornwall when I was younger. Fantastic characters the wonderful family matriarch Iris, young Eden troubled by her past, and the handsome enigmatic Levan who has a chequered past! A close knit family lives near a lighthouse in Cornwall; very idealic and gorgeous area where any chances don't go unnoticed.Or, if you’re currently in the middle of winter, snuggle up by the fire with a cup of cocoa and dream of warmer days! Dion met Levon in the army but 'they were very much civilians now, although their experience in the military had cast a shadow over both their lives'.

Eden has finally moved on from her two timing ex Simon, until he turns up in Cornwall looking for her.

The confrontation wasn't as final, and I could easily imagine Simon coming back, but he's a complete slimeball. A heart-warming read full of sun, sea, friendship and romance perfect for fans of SARAH MORGAN and TRISHA ASHLEY.

The setting of this novel was beautiful and it really makes you think about how difficult the life of a lighthouse keeper could have been, alone, and away from your family for weeks at a time, and how difficult it must have been for the families left behind as well. As always, this was well written with wonderful characters that flowed from the page but the unique setting of the lighthouse made it for me and I wish I could visit, magnificent! My review is written freely as a hobby, and is totally my own opinion, not influenced by receiving the ARC. We are introduced introduced to Morwenna, Edan's best friend, she's been away for a couple of weeks so missed her talks about Simon and Levan, she is a photographer. Eden is wary of love and although Levan is extremely good looking and charismatic, she needs to keep him at arms length.Eden had broken up with her cheating and lying ex, Simon, and moved home to be with her mother and grandmother in Cornwall. Then of course, there’s the hot next door neighbor who moves in, Levan, and changes their lives completely, especially Eden’s.

I liked how he tried to do the right thing with Eden and also I really enjoyed his friendship with Iris, and her little story twist even more.It was a lovely gentle romantic read based on Eden, Levan and Edens family who I loved, especially Iris her grandmother. I also struggled with the constant reinforcement of what characters were feeling, rather than interpreting it from their actions and words - it felt like we were being walked through emotions rather than empathising them. I enjoyed this book, the characters are great except for Simon, I loved Eden, Morwenna, Courtney, Dion, and Levan. I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influenced my review of the book. Phillipa Ashley has a way of describing settings that makes me put Cornwall on my travel bucket list.
