About this deal

But he saw her, as Maeve not an extension of Stevens. Wes saw her for her lifelong achievements, her running in the morning, extra time spent every second on the soccer field. Ever since her younger sister’s engagement was announced, Harper Williams has been dreading the wedding. What should be a joyous, sun-drenched affair is sure to be filled with plenty of awkward moments, thanks to Harper’s strained relationship with her only sibling. Awkwardness enhanced by the wedding’s location—a lake in Maine, swimming with painful memories of their late father. One thing that kinda bothered me was the timing of things. Like one chapter something would happen and then the next chapter would take place a week or two later. And that’s how most of the book was. As well, there were a few times where Mauve or Weston would mention something that happened between the two of them, but it was like off the record. For example, Mauve got one of Weston’s sweatshirts, but we never see her get it. She just tells her she got it from him at some point. This happened with things a few times which I didn’t love, but it didn’t ruin the story for me. Rylee Thomas is used to being in control. But she's about to meet the one man that just might make her enjoy losing it… What a nice contemporary romance! I wasn’t really sure what to expect going in especially because I was getting Romeo and Juliet vibes from the synopsis, but I really enjoyed this book!

I loved them, but I hated the third act breakup. Matt, her brother’s best friend KISSES HER and it gets blown out of proportion when Wes finds out and accuses her of cheating. He lashes out, breaks up with her and kisses the girl he told her not to worry about… yeah I screamed when he did that. Technically they were on a break but I was so pissed that he got drunk and kissed her because he saw Maeve was there. It was unfair to her because she genuinely didn’t cheat and he didn’t even give her a chance to explain before kissing someone else. While I’m glad it was resolved, Im disappointed that it happened. SHE CHOSE WES OVER HER BROTHER. I thought Liam was going to come to terms with their relationship but he issued an ultimatum and she didn’t choose her twin brother. I cant wait for his book because I hope the tension gets resolved and he eventually learns to get along with Wes. His friends were shitty too, they care more about the football game than how Wes was feeling. The boy was heartbroken and they told him not let it ruin the game??? READ THE ROOM This was such a fun YA romance about two high school rivals that fall in love against all odds. I didn’t love the miscommunication/ third act break up, but then I had to remind myself that the MCs are in high school and what happened can be quite realistic. I also wished for some more development with the side characters! Still, I do recommend this and really enjoyed the book on audio!

Me ha gustado mucho a pesar de tener el típico drama de insti. La relación entre ellos ha sido muy bonita, como han confiado el uno en el otro y como han luchado por dejar atrás la rivalidad entre ambas ciudades. They confided in each other about the ways of the world, about the issues they faced, and I think if they had been any different in their characters their roles, they never would’ve shared it. I think there’s so much that goes off this by knowing they could be ruined with the information they told, but knowing the other wouldn’t.

It bothered me more than I expected, not only because I’m far from Liam’s biggest fan. I wonder if I even would have noticed if she hadn’t already flat-out told me people only see her as her father’s daughter or her brother’s sister” I also had a lot of fun getting to know both characters’ sets of friends. We don’t spend loads of time with each group since our main characters are always sneaking away to see each other, but I appreciated the time we had with them. For Scarlett Ellsworth and Crew Kensington, that leaves one option: each other. Accepting that inevitability is very different from embracing it. That’s the only thing they agree upon. C. W. Farnsworth is the author of numerous adult and young adult romance novels featuring sports, strong female leads, and happy endings. Charlotte lives in Rhode Island and when she isn't writing spends her free time reading, at the beach, or snuggling with her Australian Shepard.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! While there were a few things I didn't love, those things didn't ruin the rest of the book for me. I liked the romance between Mauve and Weston and liked seeing them grow in the relationship. And aside from the romance, I also appreciated how it also centered around their own personal lives at home and at school. There was a healthy balance between all three storylines that successfully showed how each was vital to the other. Seeing Maeve gain the courage to stand up for herself and earn her father's respect and attention was a rewarding moment and for Wes to see that even under the veneer of his parents' unsatisfactory marriage, there were still the hints of love that tethered them together. If it was not for their own tryst, this little appreciations may have gone unwarranted for a lot longer - so, in a way, there was some good that came out of their secret liaison. 💞💞 I’ve heard a lot of things about Weston Cole. Popular. Conceited. Supercilious. He’s spent the last three years steadily dismantling my family’s legacy. I should hate him. And I did. Until I encountered him freshman year and discovered he’s also troubled. Captivating. Audacious. And when I come across him again senior year, it turns out that knowledge is even more dangerous than his suggestive smirk… Wes and Maeve were beautiful, they truly defied my expectations and I loved every moment of it. It was ruthlessly amusing and breathtaking in the best way. Those reasons have never made sense, though, and they’ve become sillier and sillier the more time I’ve spent with Maeve.” THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR Escape to the summer and feel the warmth of Paige Toon's storytelling Daisy has been dumped, unceremoniously jilted. Because I do. Love her. Even though there are a lot of reasons why I probably shouldn’t. Those reasons have never made sense, though, and they’ve become sillier and sillier the more time I’ve spent with Maeve.” I've heard a lot of things about Weston Cole. He’s popular. Conceited. Obnoxious. Most importantly, he’s spent the past three years steadily dismantling my family’s football legacy. I should hate him. And I did. Until I encountered him freshman year and discovered he’s also troubled. Captivating. Considerate. When our paths cross again senior year, that knowledge becomes even more dangerous than his suggestive smirk. Hating him was easy. Before I met him.
