About this deal
A true middle grade graphic novel starring one of Marvel's most popular characters, bestselling author Justin A. I was at my last school for 4 years and we had ********* book fairs every term – and every term, I was disappointed by the narrow range of books. I liked how just enough info about Miles was given at the intro to establish who he is and what kinds of powers he has. Miles as Spider-Man not only has his hands full defending the city from Vex and her partner, but Miles the student meets a new classmate who’s father has gone missing.
It is an engaging storing starting off with a humorous section where Miles Morales answers some of the most popular questions he has been asked since becoming Spider-Man (and which provides a reminder of his abilities and back story) and moves into a story about what happens when he is involved in trying to raise funds for relief of an earthquake in Puerto Rico whilst investigating the disappearance of the father of one of a new student at his school. The art style is bright and colourful, the frames often feel like stills from an animated series, though not quite the same style as Into the Spider-Verse. My introduction to Miles Morales was the Into The Spider-Verse movie, but this graphic novel does a very good job of quickly bringing the reader up to speed on the relationship between Peter Parker Spider-Man and Miles Morales Spider-Man as well as the latter's origin and powers. The story for the most part is nice and pacy, with a socially responsible theme as is typical of Marvel these days.I always tell my kids no matter If you disagree with your friends you can always work it out and soon enough you will come together again. The theme of finding work, school, and home life balance is important to invoke in young readers, and also how you can find ways to help your community at any age. Is it referring to the US school system, level of english or the fact this is one of the now many versions of Spiderman? What’s more, his relationship with his parents is strained as his commitments stretch him thinly and the realities of superhero life begin to weigh on him mentally and emotionally. Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example.
There were now many versions out there, a whole Spiderverse - which incidentally the animated film combined brilliantly. The art warmly depicts an urban setting, using white gutters between panels in lots of different shapes, giving it a modern, fun, young feel. He is not to be confused with the older, more experienced Spider-Man from Queens, although they are pals. An original middle-grade graphic novel from Graphix starring Brooklyn’s Spider-Man, Miles Morales, by bestselling author Justin A. This story really combined everything you expect from comic heroes while also involving real life events like the earthquakes Puerto Rico was hit with.Overall, it's pretty good and I would recommend you read this if you want a graphic novel/book that doesn't require too much thought.
Miles Morales is juggling a lot, trying to stay on top of schoolwork, hanging out with friends and family, and fighting crime, and feeling like he’s coming up short repeatedly. There are lots of nice ties to the importance of family and caring for others and the culture of Puerto Rico. You guys were so fab and Dawn was such a lovely presence in the schools - I will absolutely be in touch next time I'm in your neck of the woods.
I was hoping this book would be like it because it has the same main character, but it wasn't very interesting.
I thought it was a little predictable, and didn’t like how the skill of the enemy changed during the story. Mas é muito bom ver que a Marvel aos pouquinhos tabém está mirando no público young adult em graphic novels originais que também servem para todas as idades. Also, a new classmate’s father is missing, and two criminals just got superpowers, and he’s got no ideas for an art project, so Miles is losing sleep trying to keep up with everything. Miles is so pre-occupied with balancing school and being a hero that's he's really neglecting his family life. There's also a sneek peek at a Ms Marvel story (Stretched Thin) at the end, which looks interesting.
