Bamix says it crushs ice but I find it tricky as the ice cubes here are the size of golf balls, however I don´t have any problem crushing bananas and I do it often – I have the Bamix Swissline.The All-Clad KZ750DGT is a better immersion blender for multi-purpose use than the Braun MultiQuick 9.

I would look into a separate masher / purée leg that fits the 90 or 91 series – are the connections the same.

We tested the MQ9199XL, which comes with a food processor attachment, a handful of different slicing and shredding blades, dough blades, and pretty much everything else you'd expect in one of the best food processor. If so, we are just starting ( today coincidentally ) to add information for our Australian audience because it seems to be growing fast!

We have given some more background information on the MQ 745 and the whole Braun series in our post about the most globally awarded brands in the last year ! However Bamix is a little more commercial – a bit of a chef´s tool, in that you have to pull the blades off and that can take come pulling sometimes. Too much ice or solely frozen ingredients like fruits and avocado mean that you’ll have to keep helping it out manually, but for most smoothies or cocktails this won’t be a problem.

I will be using the blender for blending homemade soups, chopping onions – basic things like that but keen to try a recipe where I’ve got to blend frozen blueberries and frozen bananas which are amazingly hard! Multiple speed settings give ultimate versatility for a range of foods, the higher the setting, the finer the ingredients.
