About this deal

My son kept throwing his stuffed animals out which led my daughter to keep jumping out of bed to return them to him, over and over. Yes! As discussed above, the SlumberPod has gone through rigorous safety testing to ensure your little one is safe.

The “User Manual” tag in the carry bag suggests that you lay the SlumberPod material over the playard, whereas in my version I choose to do it flat on the ground. Both ways work just fine and allow for one-person assembly in 2 minutes or less. Step 1 Toddlers obviously have WAY more preferences than babies, so if you start them with the SlumberPod younger it will be an easier adjustment. Are sleep pods safe for babies? Katy and Lou developed this product together so that parents don’t have to be sleep-deprived and miserable on their trips because their children have a hard time adjusting to a new sleep environment.

How Our Family Uses the SlumberPod

While Katy was on maternity leave with twins in the spring of 2016, she and Lou decided it was time to create a safe, easy and portable solution to help make vacations more restful and fun for everyone—and SlumberPod was born! Proper sleep is crucial for the baby’s health and the baby cannot function well without resting well. Here is where SlumberPod comes in to provide your baby with an ideal sleeping environment. Your child can stand up inside it if they want to. It’s not possible to do with any other competing products which makes the whole product claustrophobic vs in a SlumberPod your kid will have some space.

Plus, I’ll share how the SlumberPod works… covering the assembly and setup process so that you can see for yourself if it’s for you.

How Does the Slumber Pod Work?

The most important tip is to make sure to get your child familiar with the SlumberPod before the trip. My son was pretty terrified of it when we set it up at home because it’s very dark inside and it was naturally a new item to him. It took him a while to get in, play peek a boo and eventually fall asleep. Unlike the Slumberpod, the Snoozeshade is VERY breathable. The air-permeable fabric ensures your baby won’t be stuffy in the Snoozeshade. The assembled dimensions are 50 inches long, 36 inches wide, 56 inches tall – to give you an idea of where it will fit in a room.

It’s bottomless and has a front panel with a zipper opening so you can place baby in it and easily peek on them. Finally, many parents simply don’t really care for the best of the best when it comes to this stuff.Plus, parents everywhere are obsessed with them so they hold their value when you go to resell it in a few years once you’re done using yours. Finally, you’ll find answers to some common questions I get about the SlumberPod whenever I recommend it to friends. Keep in mind that SlumberPod takes more space than the crib in a hotel room, so you need to have space for it – rooms must be big. While it will work great for villas, suites and big rooms around the US, most hotel rooms in Europe are pretty small – even a crib is a tight fit in many places. That said, I don’t see SlumberPod fitting in various hotels.
