About this deal

And there's Alphonse, a boy whose openness becomes the bond that holds these people together as their world is flying apart. Sea glass, beach glass, sand glass, mermaids’ tears, emeralds from the deep…known by many names and coveted by beachcombers, these ocean treasures are much more than they seem. It is a painful subject to discuss for many and I always approach any book that touches on this subject with caution.

Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook). She has written over 40 books alongside her husband Steve Wilson including the popular children’s book range ‘Hedgehugs’ and the hugely successful new baby books; ‘Welcome To The World’ and ‘Now You’re The Biggest’. Carole Lambert, author of Sea Glass Chronicles, gives us entree into the studios of those who do everything from gathering and amassing sea glass mulch for landscaping to designing stained-sea-glass windows. Exquisite montages of sea glass by noted museum and gallery photographer Celia Pearson beautifully illustrate the words on the printed pages. As the owner of one of the world's most elaborate sea glass collections, Mary Beth Beuke gets to talk about these prized ocean gems on a daily basis. A Game of Magic Student magician Opal Cowan’s newfound ability to steal others’ powers makes her too powerful.

If you want a stunning setting with a side of enchantment, look no further than The Magic of Sea Glass by Jenny Hale.Anyone who loves beautiful, historical fiction that teaches you things you didn’t know, takes you places you have never been and makes you feel something will really enjoy this novel. As with any good sequel, this one builds upon the content of the first but delves even deeper into the mystique of sea glass. A very attractive book that has the previous owner's name in small print on top left corner of front endpaper.

LaMotte’s first sea glass book elevated the medium and the process of collecting and cataloging sea glass in ways that were never expected.

I liked the story all the more because the main character was dealing with grief a year after her loss, trying to adjust to her new normal — and collected sea glass — and good new friends who helped her heal — along the way. We’re not all lucky enough to be able to run away to the beach to try and find ourselves like Lauren, but it’s fun to ride along on her journey. As the story closely follows both Elena and Kit navigating life after losing their partners, we see how long grief can still have its effect on someone. Sadly, we can only include one child in this book at the moment, we hope to change this in the future.

A tale about dealing with human loss, new beginnings and healing from trauma - all conveyed in a sweet romantic tale set on the proximities of the Wedding industry. While the internet is an incredible way to share instantly, sometimes I just want to unplug and reach back into a more nostalgic way of discovering other people's sea glass adventures.
