How times have changed atHellnar - now there is a hotel, a restaurant and a very popular café, Fjöruhúsið café, down by the sea. We Icelanders are brought up to fear the dangerous powers of our country, which resulted in me being extra careful when travelling. Considered to be the most beautiful place in the Tasman region of New Zealand, Cathedral Cove is one of the main attractions on the Coromandel Peninsula. This fairly remote beach can be accessed only by foot or boat. Cathedral cove has two beautiful beaches which are separated by a massive stone arch that gives the whole place a grand appearance. The clean sandy beaches with pohutukawa trees along the coast make the place ideal for swimming and picnics. 8. After a short drive west from Dungloe, the road passes through the small seaside village of Maghery where it turns south along the Mullaghmullan Peninsula towards the arch. The road narrows considerably and only has space for one vehicle in either direction.

Crohy Head Sea Arch is a spectacular sea arch located on the coast of the Mullaghmullan Peninsula in Donegal. Sometimes called ‘The Breeches’, the arch is one of the most beautiful in Ireland. It’s a 10 minute walk and you just need to keep walking towards the sea, obviously minding your footing as you get towards the edge of the cliff. Depending on which way you walk you may have to climb over a low barbed wire fence but it is relatively easy. You should be able to spot the access path down to the beach. As with any hike, be cautious on cliff edges and, when it is possible to at low tide, descending to the beach below. The mountainlooks like a pyramid only from this direction, but if you drive up by it and visit Sönghellir cave then you will have a totally different view of Mt. Stapafell.
