About this deal

The 7 Artisans is not made to photography landscape wide-open (corners are weak at f0.95) but will give very good results at F5.6 over the entire frame . Some fringing can be observed with incident light wide open Of course, with that f0.95 lens, and a 12 blade diaphragm, you can bet that bokeh is simply stunning and smooth. There is nothing harsh here. I’ll definitely post more bokeh filled images in my review but so far, I am very happy with the results. I’ve reviewed quite a few lenses for the Fufjifilm system, and to me, this lens produces some of the best bokeh that you can get for the system. If you plan to shoot this lens only at f0.95, you will be very happy with the results, trust me. As for corner sharpness, if you’re shooting a portrait at wide open aperture, chances are, you’re trying to isolate the subject anyway, so I don’t think a little softness in the corners will be a problem. Of course, this is just my opinion :). Yes, it might even be somewhat of a distraction to have something ultra sharp. Plus, most lenses at large open aperture have some vignetting, which helps further isolate the subject. The bokeh flip! This is actually shot upside down. The top is a puddle reflection. The obvious comparison – 7artisans vs Mitakon I can imagine the Leica binocs in concerts; the light-gathering properties are incredible. Just like the M lenses: microcontrast as well.

I had the Risespray 35f0.95, what is probably very similar to 7Artisans. But since nobody answered your question, I answer… Based on my subject matter and my shooting style, I would need a fast and sharp 35mm lens. All three lenses are fast enough for me. The 7artisans does not seem to be sharp enough for me when shot wide open. This is probably one of the most incredible features of this lens. The size is not much, if at all, wider than Fujifilms own 35mm f/1.4. It’s a little longer in the barrel but no more than a centimeter or so. This compact build makes it even more perfect for the retro looking X-pro3 body. It doesn’t come across as a big lens that will make your system front heavy. It’s a small and very handy lens. This can also be seen in the fact that it uses a standard 52 mm filter thread just like Fujifilms own 35mm f/1.4. D’un points de vue spécifications le 7 Artisans est mieux construit , pour un prix presque divisé par 3 et il a plus de lames de diaphragme. This is another photo I took with f0.95 and 160 ISO. 7artisans Photoelectric 50mm f0.95 Lens Bokeh:I actually was thinking about an article on remote shooting but I don’t think I have enough knowledge to write one haha. I just turn on Zoom haha. Still, maybe I can think of something :). Both lenses are quite similar on these criteria with the 7 Artisans having a better flare and sunstars for me but a little bit less good level of Chromatic aberrations

I already own the Mitakon 35mm f0.95 mk2, which I absolutely adore. ( You can go read my review from a couple of years ago here.) So I was curious to see whether or not the 7artisans would hold up against one of my all-time favourite 35mm lenses for the Fujifilm X-series system The Mitakon is maybe a tiny bit better wide at aperture

The Bokeh balls are very good wide open : well circular, but becomes a little bit less good with aperture closed down (some fringing visible at F2.8) As a super-large aperture lens, this lens has a very good low-light performance. It can present high-resolution illustrations and get the dreamy bokeh while maintaining a compact shape of 62mm and a light weight of about 398g. The minimum focusing distance is only 0.37m, which is user-friendly to those who like to take close shots and close-ups. The optical design uses 11 elements in 8 groups, including two ED (ultra-low dispersion) lenses. The equivalent focal length is about 50mm. It is very good at shooting portraits. It can be used for both indoor and outdoor portraits. It is also one of the focal lengths that photographers love. The focus throw on the lens is short, which makes it very ideal for day-to-day use. If you want to finetune your focus during, say, a portrait session, the very fluid motion of the focus ring makes it really easy to do precise focusing even though the throw is shorter than a regular portrait lens where you often get close to 180° of rotation for really fine focus tuning. Now, the f/0.95 on the APS-C will give you a depth of field close to that of an f/1.4 lens on a 35mm full frame camera. So handling this lens will not be any harder in terms of nailing focus than using said 1.4 lens. But it does have a huge advantage over the f/1.4 lenses… If I was looking for more regular use, I think I'd go with the Mitakon for that uber shallow depth of field and/or superior low light performance.

Prepare to be astounded by their attention to detail and perfect outcomes. La qualité de construction du 7 Artisans 35mm F0.95 est excellente. L(objectif est APS-C mais couvre presque le plein format. L’optique est tout en métal , les chiffres sont gravés et non juste imprimés. In addition to producing sharp images, there are other features that make the 7artisans Photoelectric 50mm f0.95 lens worth a look. Color and contrast are great. Flare wasn’t an issue for me under normal shooting conditions, so the fact that a lens hood was not included, is okay. There is some vignetting at wide open aperture but this is pretty much a given, and nothing out of the ordinary. The vignetting is actually kind of nice to be honest, and goes with the ultra thin depth of field look but if you’re not a fan, stopping down just one stop does reduce it significantly. Overall, this is a quality lens, in my opinion, and one that I think is comparable in terms of image quality to what is coming out from Fujifilm lenses. This is important, especially if you already own Fujifilm lenses, and want your images to match in terms of workflow. One final thing to note regarding the build quality is that the this lens will mount onto your X-Pro3 without ruining your lens mount release button like some of the early Viltrox lenses did. The mounting-ring itself is made from a gorgeous shiny graphite colour that again just oozes quality! Specifications So sorry for the late reply! I hope you’re doing good! Thanks for reading my review. It means a lot, and it’s great to hear from you!
