About this deal

While it’s not the best TV out there for your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, it is probably the best 70-inch TV for those consoles. And it’s also got some great smart tech included. Overall despite the great color, it’s not the brightest screen and contrast does suffer a little. Plus, despite having Auto Low Latency Mode, there’s not much else to the Game Optimizer feature, and there’s no HDMI 2.1 port. If you’ve been searching for a 70-inch TV, you might have noticed a couple of things. Firstly, they are cheaper than you would expect for a television of that size, even the more high-end ones. Secondly, there aren’t as many options as you would expect. Don’t worry, there are still a fair few – just not hundreds and hundreds. This TV’s got LG’s Quad-Core Processor 4K, which is a really solid processor at this price point. It’s one of the best TVs for upscaling lower-quality and older content to make sure that it doesn’t look grainy or blurry on a 70-inch display. That means even classic movies from years ago get a new lease of life. Of course, we also consider the smart TV functions and apps for each TV, looking at everything from the remote control design to the voice interaction.

This includes its upcoming Frameless design set that will offer many of the great features from the EQ series range (including Android 11 and the high dynamic range support) while stripping out a few of most premium options to bring you the display at a better price. Like with many of the best LG TVs, even so-called ‘lower-end’ options are still impressive, providing quality color, clarity, and contrast. Of course, some of the best OLED TVs on the market are from LG if your budget allows for them.Hisense is an interesting brand of TV. It’s not a top-tier manufacturer, but some of its TVs perform really well in the mid-range, with some impressive features. If you’re after a budget 70-inch TV, we think this Samsung 7-series is a good option for most people. This isn’t really one of those: as we’ve said, the selection of quality 70-inch TVs is a little limited. Instead, this is a decent 70-inch TV at an excellent price. Over the last few years, TVs have been manufactured in a wide variety of sizes. But some, including 70-inch models, are now becoming rarer as 65-inch, 75-inch, and larger sizes become the standard.

Highly respected for their home and premium in-car hi-fi, Harman Kardon are a top brand in audio. With this Sharp TV they’ve specced a 2.1 speaker system that uses a dedicated subwoofer for a richer, more lifelike sound. For a further step-up in sound, use the HDMI ARC or optical digital outputs to add a soundbar of your choice. That TV looks better all the way around, it’s true, but depending on who the TV is for, a small additional investment could easily be worth it. If you don’t need or want anything more from a TV, why payanything more? With the Samsung Q60B QLED TV, you don’t have to. Testing the best 70-inch TVs is a thorough process. We put every TV through our custom lab test, measuring color gamut, color accuracy and brightness to objectively see which sets are the best for these key indicators. We also test for lag time, measuring to the millisecond how long it takes for content to travel from the original source to the screen. We use these results to make numbers-based comparisons about color and display quality. Featuring a 70 inch, 4K HDR screen and Harman Kardon speaker system, the Sharp 70CL5KA has what it takes for premium sound and vision. Hopefully we’ll get to spend more time with them nearer their launch, but regardless the EQ series are definitely ones to watch out for if you’re wanting to upgrade your home cinema from a more budget setThis isn’t a QLED and it doesn’t have the best tech that Samsung has to offer. But honestly, for this price, you’ll be amazed by just how good it looks. A better TV will make it easier to navigate between apps, loading content faster, while voice controls allow you to search for your favorite show really easily. So bear that in mind when making your decision. Sizing This model also has one of the best entry-level processors in any TV, with the Crystal Processor 4K. Again this isn’t as powerful as the Quantum Processor, but it still does an impressive job of making older content look brand new. If you’re looking for a surprisingly good alternative to some of the more recognizable brands, we think you should consider this Vizio Class M7 series. With its 70 inch screen, the Sharp 70CL5KA already makes a big impression on your home entertainment. Making the most of the big-scale images, 4K resolution with HDR10 and HLG coding brings out the very best in your movies, TV and gaming. HDR enhances contrast, making clear what was previously hidden. This makes movies more involving and gives you the gaming advantage in being able to spot hidden enemies. To calculate the average price, we add up the cheapest daily prices of the last 90 days and divide by 90. Of course, it’s a smart TV that supports all the usual streaming platforms and works with Google Assistant or Alexa. This is pretty standard nowadays, but it still impresses when it comes to sheer ease of use.
