At KSolo and SingShot, only vocalists are eligible to share renditions, but at Bix singers, lip-synchers, dancers, comedians and artists are welcome to show off through their Web cams. mdb into it but once that was sorted I can see the client screen is very straight forward and I don't think it would cause a lot of hassle and misunderstanding from the punters like I had on a previous type. Perhaps if there was a provision to text message your song request into the kiosk he'd like it more, but this show didn't offer that option. by the way, i still encourage/appreciate slips and still use them for random giveaway drawings "the more you sing the more chances to win" people can just tell me but if they dont fillout a slip that song is not an entry. How much does the average host spend on updating books and printing out songslips throughout the year?

If they bring 2-3 slips, as their most current song gets sung, I pull that slip and drop it face down on the sung pile and place them at the end with the second slip. Another thing I do for my regulars is I don't wait for them to bring up a slip - if I see them come in, I just put one of their many songs up for them. It's just as easy for me to look up a song for them because if they want to sing it just add it to the queue. I usually work new singers in at the end of the rotation unless it is large and everyone has sung once, at which time I work them in at the 5th singer. The slips will just be used to get new songs for people up, but the regulars will have their stuff entered.The closest I can come to that service is to put the discard pile where the singers can get it, and they can go through it for their slips if they wish and some do. The reverse has served me well for a couple of years though - they're always well received at gigs that I do get to hand them out and more importantly folks see them as business cards and snaffle them. That's kind of the theory I have, but I'm sure there are plenty of pirates that don't care or aren't aware that they are surely assisting in their own potential "prosecution". later when we get really buisy we might not be bale to let them sing as much, but they usually understand that we try to get everyone as many songs as we can. for the software (I know there are free ones out there) and pulling one of my old laptops outs of the closet to use and building a home made kiosk out of a office kiosk I bought from my company for a buck.
