About this deal

UPDATE: Nemesis setup is now scripted. Select what Basics you wish to use, how many players and what level of expedition you're on, and then drag a Nemesis bag onto the Setup Mat. Certain Nemesis require Player Agency or Shop Setup that a tad infeasible. Everything else should just setup though.

There have been several expansions since, thanks to the game’s popularity and success, and today we’re going to take a look at one of them – Aeon’s End Legacy. The biggest difference between this version and the others in the series is that word on the end of the title, “legacy”. A setup és az elpakolás kb. 10-10 percet vesz igénybe, nagyon jól használható insert van benne, kártya rendező lapokkal és zárható tasakokkal. I really enjoyed Aeon’s End Legacy. I love how the game reveals new mechanics with each chapter, rather than swamp the player with everything at once. In a game where you can replay each fight ad infinitum it’s fine, but in a legacy game where losses can affect the game negatively, it’s a really good way to break new players in gently. The story also progresses with these changes, so thematically it’s very strong too. As the Aeon’s End Legacy Campaign progresses you, as a mage being trained, get better and many things about you and your gameplay get enhanced. It is not just “ok your stats” are better. This game has found every interesting crevasse of gameplay to insert an upgrade twist. I will not ruin anything but huge kudos to designers for the creativity of how this journey evolves. Before I get started, I wanted to make sure everyone understood that first I will explain the game with no major spoilers and give my overall opinions of the game and its mechanics. I will then discuss some details in a marked spoiler section for those interested in those thoughts as well.Great job by the designers in not just being creative and great in the story and effects of the stand alone game, but also being creative in how to push the boundaries of board games to make for a cool experience. Even though the Aeon’s End Legacy Campaign had me playing for 12 hours, I was always interested on the edge of my seat with everything flowing wonderfully. The strength on all fronts is what puts this one on the Best Legacy Board Games list. Thumbs up! Nálunk nem állnak bontatlan ül társasok nem bírjuk ki, hogy ne bontsuk ki őket legalább csak annyira, hogy az alkatrészeket le ne ellenőrizzük😆 All base games are here, Aeon's End, War Eternal, Legacy, The New Age, Outcasts, Legacy of Gravehold and Past & Future.

Focus any player's breach or any ally preps a spell to one of their opened or closed breaches. Repeat this three times. 😁

I don't want to spoil all the powers and cards for you, but trust me, they're great. Every time you kill one of the Nameless and move on, you'll be given more supply cards to swap in. This is one of the most generous legacy games ever, there's no drip-feeding here. It almost feels wasteful at times, we haven't used all of the cards we were offered. For established Aeon’s End fanatics, there is a decent amount of content to keep you entertained. Terminology and difficulty are both turned down so it feels less exciting at first, but for the kind of value it offers I can’t begrudge it. The most exciting part for me has been the new Nemeses more than the cards, but there are some cards I would love to test further. The prospect of building your own mage to play with in other Aeon’s End games post-campaign excites me, and I relish the opportunity to try them in active combat once I’ve reached the end of the campaign. And that seems to be the theme of this outing – value. While in previous games in the series, and indeed the core box, any powers that offered healing made things a little too easy, here there’s none of that. Instead, you’ve really got to be working on the market to upgrade your cards, and those of your allies. Gems (11): Darklite Sample, Nebula Shard, Scrying Sugilite, Starglass, Sunken Onyx, Cobalt Clump, Glint Splinter, Voidsteel Vein, Aether Dust, Frozen Light, Shattered Rupix Like the cards says, stop now if you don’t want to read any spoliers Spoiler Central What’s In The Box?Sajnos vagy szerencsére' mi mindig valami akcióba futunk bele és ezért "tornyosulnak" nálunk játékok😀

This is Matt, the editor of Board Game Halv and I thought it would be a fun challenge to attempt the entire campaign in one sitting and stream the entire thing on Twitch to keep me honest. This is the spoiler-free (as much as possible) recap of my survival story. Then there is knowing the supply. Without spoiling anything, you get to make choices about what your nine supply piles are at the beginning of each battle, and those choices increase as you progress through the Aeon’s End Legacy Campaign. At first, I was just that I was using properly but then the problem was that the choices got so overwhelming I never felt like I was making the right one. Even if I was more on the ball at the beginning, that may have given me enough time to get a strategy going and be more ready for the later rounds. Sadly I was not. This is not the end of the world. That already happened. This is what is left: us, gravehold, and the Nameless. For generations we have taken refuge in an ancient and haunted place. It has taken our mages an aeon to hone their craft, but they are ready... and they are lethal. The breaches, the very conduits through which the Nameless travel, have become our weapon.” For a long while, scripting was limited, as I am fairly disabled, and typing is difficult. My health has improved enough to finally add scripting to this thing, so, enjoy. This set adds a new gamemode, Outcast mode, which replaces Gravehold with an ally mage capable of casting custom abilities to help the players. Many keywords return from previous sets, including LINK and ATTACH, and there are more Treasures for expeditions.

The great thing about this Legacy box is that it can be played again at a higher difficulty level. Also, when the campaign is over, you can use your mage in other Aeon's End games. Return to your hand all cards with "Rip" in their name that you have played this turn or that are in your discard pile.
