About this deal

Professionals have been using Pro V1x since its launch, and still, it is one of the most used golf balls. The reason for this popularity is the quality and specs of Pro V1x. Today, Pro V1x Left Dash is an official addition to our premium golf ball line-up, offering golfers even more performance options among our top-tier products that feature Titleist's multi-layer construction and cast urethane cover technologies. 3. Is Pro V1 x Left Dashthe Right Ball for Your Game? For me, it boils down to wether or not the defects are something I will notice in my gameplay (high handicapper, most likely not, low handicapper almost definitely), and if it justifies the price. The combination of a soft cover, firm inner casing layer, and progressively soft inner cores allowed Titleist to decrease spin in the long game and increase distance on full shots, while maintaining the short game spin that Titleist golf ball users have grown accustomed to in recent years. 2023 Titleist Pro V1 vs. Pro V1x

Tour players one hundred percent strike the ball better than I do, so won’t suffer with the low spin numbers I produced. I was surprised that a ball that feels so firm could produce such high-spinning numbers, and I’m starting to see why tour players use this ball. The golf ball is the engine of everything I do equipment-wise. So, the big thing that I look for whenever I’m testing balls, is ‘Does it do exactly what I think it’s going to do?’ Pro V1x and Pro V1x Left Dash have minor differences which won’t concern a player playing for a hobby. That said, we know that not every golfer can discern subtle differences between golf balls. Titleist concedes that from one shot to the next, you’re going to find plenty of overlap between balls. What it’s hoping to learn is whether there’s enough difference in Left Dot for average golfers to change what Titleist’s VP of Golf Ball Marketing Jeremy Stone calls the “total aggregate outcome.”

You should take the limited release of the Pro V1 Left Dot as a sign that Titleist is definitely flirting with the idea of bringing another premium urethane offering to market. Regardless of whether the end result is limited distribution (similar to Left Dash) or in every golf shop alongside Pro V1, Pro V1x and AVX, it’s fair to ask how many golf ball models is too many? For example, in the soft-ish space, AVX is lower launching and lower spinning that a lot of golfers are looking for. While Pro V1x is a higher spinning ball, it’s definitely not as high spinning as some others. If you’re looking to really crank up spin, TP5 or Chrome Soft X might be a better performance option. The Kirklands are an option if you don’t spin the ball at all. There are lots of nuanced examples where the space in-between a Titleist ball *might* provide more optimal performance. When it comes to consistency, however, Titleist is tough to beat…especially when looking at the totality of a ball lineup.

As a result, the peak height of the Pro V1x is slightly lower than the Pro V1x left dash. However, both have an average distance of 212-242 Yards. Compression As we’re coming to expect from Titleist, there’s not much cause for concern when the balls are cut. Across the entire sample, no balls were flagged for significant defects in core centeredness or layer concentricity. Small mantle concentricity issues were observed in a handful of balls. We suggest you decide how you will play your game and which golf ball matches your style. Once you do that, you will know which is correct. FAQs.

‘I’ll wear a hat when I’m paid to be here like he is’ – Report shares fresh details on Patrick Cantlay hat controversy

Of the three performance golf balls the AVX offers the lowest flight, lowest spin, and a soft feel. It’s tough to quantify for sure. Unfortunately, I think a good bit of golf ball marketing has been driven by a reliance on the idea that golfers can’t (or think they can’t) identify performance differences between golf balls (and that’s before we have the discussion about consistency and quality control). Since its introduction, of all the different Titleist golf ball models played at PGA Tour events, an estimated 5% have been Pro V1x Left Dash. 2. Left Dash is Titleist's Lowest Spinning Pro V1 Model We should also note that, as a small percentage of the market ball, the Left Dash isn’t produced in the same quantities as other Titleist offerings. With smaller quantities likely come tighter tolerances. True Price

As is typical for this phase of the game, Titleist is providing little in the way of details, though a reading of the selected quotes from Scotty Scheffler suggest that short game and wind performance will be a point of emphasis with the new balls.

Introduction

But I’ve also become incredibly confused about ball choice — so confused that I can’t remember the last time I bought a golf ball (mostly playing OP’s that I find).. I’ll be 70 in a few months and driver swing speed is probably in the mid-80s. I didn’t start playing until in my 40s so I never went through the “hit as hard as you can and we’ll fix direction later” phase and I’ve never had much stopping power on the greens. Even so, I managed to get handicap index down to its lowest point yet (12.3) earlier this year. Titleist Pro V1x and Pro V1x Left dash are both marked at a premium price as these are used for professional and practice matches. Although, the prices are almost head-to-head. Core color consistency was generally excellent, though it should be noted that there is variation from the balls we cut last year. This isn’t entirely unexpected as Titleist adjusts formulations seasonally to ensure consistent performance as seasons (temperature and humidity) change. Cover

How the single core improved the dual core. One reason the Pro V1x came to be originally and one reason it continues to be a success is that by using two different cores, that stiffness gradient can be more extreme than it could be in a single core. That’s especially important in a higher compression or firmer golf ball like Pro V1x. Both Pro V1x and Pro V1x Left dash cover is made of Urethane Elastomer materials. So many would think that they both would feel the same to touch. Have found the performance characteristics to be exactly as Titleist describes.Performance bears a striking resemblance to perhaps my favorite ball of all time, the Nike Tour Accuracy DD.Definitely has the heavy feel and louder impact sound that one would associate with a higher compression ball. It reminds me of Callaway's tour balls before Chrome Soft in that regard. While I've found the short game spin sufficient for the current conditions at my home club, I can see where most PGA Tour guys would want more spin than this has for the green firmness and speed they typically see.Ball does feel heavy at impact, but it also has the "heavy" flight characteristics often more associated with the V1. Head winds and cross winds just don't seem to bother the LD that much for how high it wants to fly.Don't notice much difference in the feel off the putter, but I do use a White Hot Pro insert which tends to make balls feel and sound more similar than milled putters typically do.While I was concerned about flyers on short irons with this ball, it's only happened once so far and I think it was my fault more than that of the ball. I can get a bit shallow and sweep-ish with short irons at times, and I think that's why I got 15 bonus yards out of one 8 iron from a clean and dry lie.Durability is exceptional, perhaps the best I've ever encountered in a urethane covered ball. It's as long as anything else out there.

‘They are terrible’ – Major champ rips PGA Tour’s signature events

Grabbing pieces of data from 3 different tests they've done at TXG, I guess this is about as close as it gets. When I switched to the [2023 Pro V1x], it had the exact same reactions around the greens, I actually gained a little bit of distance with the driver and it was actually better through the wind.
