About this deal

The Edge of Silence is so much more than just a booklet filled with datasheets, however – it includes all the lore around which the Indomitus box is based. In it, the harrowing nature of the Pariah Nexus is revealed, and the narrative stage is set for what will become a crucial new war zone as the horrifying magnitude of the Necron threat is unveiled. You'll feel like a true commander of the Imperium when you break out this set. The stunning miniatures included in the set are perfect for any aspiring tabletop tactician. Whether you're fighting for the United Imperium or causing chaos with the Disciples of Tzeentch, the Elite Edition has everything you need to build your army from the ground up. There are some big changes to gameplay, which has been completely overhauled for this edition. We started with what the fans were telling us about the game you play. You told us that while Warhammer 40,000 is a fun game, there are parts that are overcomplicated, and that the learning curve for new players is pretty steep. In particular, many felt there were too many stratagems and too much complexity in army selection. We’ve listened and the new edition has been simplified – but it’s not simple.

These aren’t Primaris Terminators. Not even Belisarius Cawl is able to improve upon this ancient and holy armour pattern. Any Space Marine Veteran can earn the right to don a sacred suit of Tactical Dreadnought armour, so veterans of the Tyrannic Wars and the Indomitus Crusade alike are clad in these suits of revered ceremite. The ModelsOutrider #2 in Mk10 Tacticus armour, with Astartes chainsword, carrying heavy bolt pistol, riding Raider-pattern combat bike with twin bolt rifle Depending on your budget Skorpekh are going to be easier to come into, but Wraiths are a great kit and a strong independent unit so we’ll leave it to your personal preference. Lychguard are also no slouches in combat, though they are slower, so if you want a good midfield threat that can shield your characters that’s not a bad option. Once you have a few large melee threats established you’re going to want to fill out your list with some sturdy troops and fast objective-grabbers/harassers, which Warriors and Scarab Swarms fill quite nicely. A lot of players also really enjoy bringing along a C’tan Shard of the Nightbringer, who is a HUGE threat to anything nearby and provides solid offense and/or distraction (note it does not benefit from the Dynasty traits). The box is just an outside box and an inside tray, just a bigger version of the Warhammer 40,000 Ed9: Recruit Edition set. (Unlike the Warhammer 40,000 Ed8: Dark Imperium set.) The gaming mat
