This likely is not a benefit for attaching a GoPro only, but in the case of attaching a Fly6 via 3D printed mount like mine, it makes all of the difference!

In my case, I’m using the GoPro Frame case, which is my favorite as it allows me to avoid having more plastic/glass on the front. What I really want to see is a mount for the Frame head tube so I don’t get that side to side movement that makes people sick. Even back in 2016 when Action Cameras had little to no inbuilt image stabilisation (like GoPro’s Hypersmooth), our Mount was still silky smooth. Unfortunately, with the Seatpost mount, the Hero5 Session and mount got into the way of my legs as I ride since the camera sticks out about three inches to the side of the seat post.In the case of the two GoPro mounts here, there’s actually nothing like the front mount on the market today – the fact that it rotates in numerous directions. An integral part of our mounts are the connection where the arm and clamp are joined by two assembly bolts located on the underside of the mounts. Obviously that started last year with their sponsorship of Velon, which was effectively giving them sidebar sponsorship to the Tour de France. These guys are creative and innovative, even if parts are no longer fit for bikes, they will create something awesome! Second, I’ve found that on adjustable handlebar mounts the tendency is for them to ‘drift’ over time.I also just put together my complete ‘Gear I Use’ equipment list, from swim to bike to run and everything in between (plus a few extra things). I believe I have uncovered an important benefit of the GoPro Seat Rail Mount over the K Edge mount – with the GoPro mount, you can attach your camera (or whatever) behind the mount, rather than underneath it. No problem – for those that want to skip this review, I’ve got almost all the same goodness in a single 6 minute long video. So initially you might think it’s too big of a spacer, but in reality, just apply a bit more effort to close the clasp and then screw it tight. Hopefully as we go forward that’ll extend to their action cam lineup in terms of making it easier for cyclists to show cycling-specific information on their videos.

Also, in a triathlon race I’ll use the bolt and position the door in such a way that you can’t easily get the camera out without dorking with the bolt – which in turn increases the amount of time someone would require in transition to steal the GoPro. There are plenty of mounts for round seat posts, and I have a few, but anything I try on an aero post causes the camera to mount to the side and my legs can’t clear the camera while pedaling. This gives you: The handlebar mount itself, four additional spacers, a small hex wrench for adjustment, a baggie for the extra spacers, and a tiny paper manual.

This means the cost is deducted from your salary as a non-cash benefit, so you save on tax and national insurance. When you receive your bike, all you'll need to do is unpack it, attach the pedals, turn the handlebars and ride. You can also clamp to chainstays, small roll bars, bolt-heads, windsurfing and kitesurfing control bars, or even use to create a handheld boom – any pole that is in the size range above. But…given it’s the shortest unboxing experience ever, I don’t think you’ll be missing out too much there. Usually they’re pretty good actually (at least the US ones are, I don’t know where the UK CS ones go to).
