About this deal

The Ooba comes with two parts, the carrycot which is suitable from birth (and absolutely gorgeous… almost enough to make me want a newborn to put in it) (HAHAHAH oh god I need a stiff drink just at the thought) and the seat which is where King Hux would be sitting. This photograph was taken as he was crying and desperately claw his way into the pram which says it all. The kid loves it, what can I say? So when Cosatto got in touch a couple of months ago to ask if I’d want to sample their new model, the Ooba, I was a little hesitant. Could it improve on what were my two totally adequate prams? Turned out that yes, yes it absolutely could. Simply select from the drop down – choose from square, round or combi end. A combi end is a square ended mattress that is rounded/clipped so it is in-between the round and the square ended mattress.

I really am glad that I have been given this chance of working with Cosatto and reviewing theCosatto Ooba 3-in-1 Travel System as I have fallen head over heels in love with it and I adore getting to go out and push Joseph about in the pram.Cosatto are without doubt one of the THE movers and shakers in the pushchair arena right now. The Ooba is yet another product that combines sensible pushchair design with on trend colours and materials to produce a very desirable product. The Cosatto Ooba chassis has great functionality it is clear that time has been spent to ensure that it will do everything a mum (or dad) could want. It is a shame that the Ooba cannot quite meet the, admittedly, very high quality level of the other brands in this price range. Seat The Ooba carrycot comes with a raincover which fits really well. It is also covered in the small Ooba leaf logs and looks great when in place. Love the shot below so much I’ve used it again on the blog-protective big brother Oliver pulls up the hood! Easy to transform, the Ooba can be used in carrycot, pushchair or infant car seat mode (Port car seat available separately).

The Ooba also comes with a matching nappy bag which fits into the generous basket underneath the buggy, along with your toddler if you so wish (this probably isn’t recommended. Probably). So, first impressions? Like I said, this is a looker of a pram. If it were a man it would be a Bradley Cooper. The Cosatto Ooba Travel Systemis suitable from birth, and features new multi-terrain wheels and a lightweight aluminium chassis. I’ve never been one of those mums, you know, who are really in to their prams. I’ve go a couple of friends who go through a different pram every six months but for me it’s never been that important ( changing bags, on the other hand…). I had my Bugaboo Bee+ for Elfie and when Hux arrive the fleet expanded by a double Phil + Teds. I’ve always been pretty happy with these two, they get the job done without any fuss – what more could we want?Position your baby at the foot end of the crib so baby’s feet are at the bottom of the sleeping area. That way your baby cannot slip under the covers. The Cosatto Ooba comes complete with a carrycot that is suitable for occasional overnight sleeping. It weighs 3.6kg. On initial inspection it looks quite shallow. Passing a tape measure across shows it to be plenty deep enough though at 15cm. It is 74cm long and 32cm wide which is actually a very good size. The hood is attached to the handle which comes up to 90 degrees. At the top of the handle there is a foam ‘grip’ making lifting a little more comfortable. We have shown which model of pram the mattress will suit, however most will be multi-fit so they will suit others brands.

The Baby Birds organic pram mattress are our very own chemical free range of baby pram carry cot mattresses. They have a removable cover which is machine washable. I love the leatherette handle which gives comfort whilst pushing it and the brake on the handle makes it super easy to put on and off. Putting it up and down is a little bit of a fuss as you have to take the seat unit off but to be honest, I’m not planning on putting it down much so this doesn’t affect me. It also comes with a removable apron and a carry handle built into the hood to make it easy for transportation. The liner is removable and washable for easy laundering. The all-round suspension on the chassis provides a comfortable ride for baby and parent and the flip-over handlebar allows you to navigate over rough terrain with ease.So with all this in mind our Baby Birds designers set out to offer a mattress that is as natural as possible without an expensive price tag. The bumper bar is gate opening and fully removable. It comes covered in a contrasting faux half-leather (not shown) and can be zipped off for cleaning – nice touch...

The safest place for a baby to sleep is in their own cot, moses basket or crib in the same room as you. The Ooba certainly stands out amongst its peers. It is striking! The chassis is colour coded to match the wheels – even the tyres are white, matching the chassis, the whole thing just looks ‘right’. The Baby Birds SAFE Organic Pram and Crib Mattress are our very own chemical free range of baby pram carry cot mattresses. They have a removable cover which is machine washable. It is well documented that chemicals used in foam mattresses can cause irritation of the eyes, nose, throat, and skin. So Baby Birds have produced their own range of chemical free baby mattresses. At the end of the dropdown we have listed our template range – they are made to measure as the mattress is a bespoke size. It is well documented that chemicals used in foam mattresses can cause irritation of the eyes, nose, throat, and skin. So Baby Birds have produced their own range of chemical free baby mattresses.
