To finish mapping out where all the different colours go, I mixed Payne’s Gray and Burnt Sienna to create a black colour and watered it right down to apply it to the black parts of the frog with my 000 brush. I began mapping out the different colour areas, beginning with the palest: the slightly grey-green areas around the highlights on the frog’s skin. This is my oldest collection so far, I started it when I was a teenager and haven’t stopped painting art that fits into it since!
