The next cologne is another vintage scent called Royale by Rasasi. Royale is a good dupe of Drakkar Noir, and it’s evident right when you spray it. Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Longevity, can be hit or miss but six hours seems to be average and sometimes it just lasts for a long time. It’s kind of a weird scent in how it performs and I wish it could still be that classic beast mode.

It brings a definite cooled air to the composition, it’s that usual sharp spice, which contrasts extremely well versus the lavender, oak moss, and leather notes. Drakkar Noir has been a staple in the fragrance world for a long, long time. It’s been so widely used, that it’s been joked about in popular culture based on guys who douse themselves in it, but there are still plenty of people who swear by it. Drakkar Noir is a pleasant scent provided it’s not over-sprayed. For me, there’s something in it that triggers my allergies. If you suffer from fragrance allergies, you might want to give this one a pass. Personally, I can only tolerate this fragrance if it’s worn lightly. Heavier use triggers a migraine.

It all comes together as really green, herbal, and outdoorsy. This is the basic formula for about 30-45 minutes. Both the spray and roll-on smell fantastic and project really well. In fact, this Guy Laroche fragrance is one of the absolute classic scents to come out of the 1980s, and you don’t make it for almost 40 years by being a ‘garbage’ cologne. It always been one with a complex blend and personality, that has many facets, which don’t always get appreciated. Now it's the year 2020 and again DN smells different than my last 2013 badge! The spray head has been changed again, now it is the old bigger one from years ago. Of course the label on the bottle has been redesigned a little bit. After several adjustments I can say with certainty that between 2000 and 2020 DN was operated on three times - more questions? The scent already caught my attention in a very positive way with my great uncle who died many years ago. Also because as a child I somehow always had the thought that good fragrances are actually more a domain of women One day I was leafing through a magazine and found advertisements for Drakkar Noir. Drakkar Noir? That name mean anything to you?

The dry down is also excellent – it is warm and masculine. Basically, it highlights the good parts of Drakkar Noir. You get a full play of the fresh, herbal, and woody tones of what we are looking for.
This scent, however, can be worn during any time of the year, whether it’s day or night. You can wear it to casual, formal, and professional events. You can also use it as an everyday scent.
MULTIPLE PACKS
It just feels old school like a fresh bar of soap or shaving cream for men. Drakkar Noir is dark and masculine from the start, yet still remains very clean throughout.
