About this deal

Developed in close collaboration with the man himself, Dunlop have squeezed every inch on tonal know-how from Kirks brain and produced the KH95 Signature Pedal. Meticulously tuned and tweaked to deliver the same iconic wah sound that revolutionized all of Metallica's metal solos, this pedal perfectly emulates that legendary tone that makes Kirk cut through the mix in true Metallica style. Though folks on the internet – and even his Metallica lead guitar predecessor– have given Hammett plenty of grief about his consistent use of wah, the guitarist simply doesn't care.

For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs. From the first album right up to today, Kirk has had a TS9 in his rig. He uses the TS9 to tighten up the front end of his guitar amps overdrive channel. This is a common use for this pedal. The TS9 does not have much gain of it’s own, but when put as a boost infront of an already overdriven amp, it gives a very tight and refined metal tone. Dunlop Crybaby Wah As a whole, Hammett has been more than happy to laugh off trolls lately, similarly shrugging off criticism of his solos on Metallica's new album, 72 Seasons. Part of that is obviously his wah pedal. He always uses his signature wah, and usually has about five or more wah pedals scattered around the stage at a live show. His tone is not all that different from James’ (rhythm guitarist of Metallica). They use very similar sounds live, so it’s often hard to discern which side is who. In the studio he’s only heard during solos. Other rhythm’s and leads are played by James. If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered

Kirk Hammett is known as the lead guitar player in Thrash Metal giants Metallica. Over the years his rig has changed based on the needs of the album they are touring, but it has remained mostly faithful to a few select pieces of gear. In this article we are going to look at the rig that Kirk used in 1986 for the Master of Puppets album. Pedals It’s always been after the fact. And it’s only been to get more intensity and more emotion out of the sound.I’m not from, like, the Eric Clapton school of wah, where I step on it on every downbeat. I don’t think anyone really does that anymore, anyway.” From the early days of Metallica, Kirk had two main pedals that he used that are well documented. Across the Master of Puppets album there is lots of modulation and other effects that can be heard but there are no detailed listings of any of that gear. Kirk most likely used a Chorus pedal of some sort. With the time of the album you can probably assume it was a Boss chorus from the 1980s. My friends down the street could probably play a better solo than Lux Æterna," he recently said of his lead break on the album's first single, "but what’s the point?”Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty In an interview with Guitar World last year, Hammett discussed the relationship between the wah pedal and his solos, explaining that he doesn't use the effect to write the solos themselves. Kirk is known for being the lead guitarist of legendary band Metallica. He’s been in the band since 1983, and can be heard on every single Metallica album to date.
