About this deal

projects contributed by leading knitwear designers from across the world, showcasing an exceptionally wide range of yarns, techniques and difficulty levels, including 2 crochet designs. Upea teos on jatkoa kotimaisen Laine Publishing -kustantamon viime vuonna ilmestyneelle 52 x villasukat -kirjalle. This book is the paperback version of 52 Weeks of Shawls (not entirely certain why the name changed to 52 Weeks of Scarves). Light wraps for cool shoulders on summer evenings or spring mornings, beautiful shawls as the centrepiece of autumnal outfits and warm collars to be layered under winter coats. All are well illustrated and there are full instructions provided including stitch diagrams where couloir work is used.

Our intention is to inspire you to gather and share, to be part of a community of like-minded knitters, makers and thinkers from near and far.

The book contains patterns from the following designers: Stella Ackroyd, Andrea Aho, Fiona Alice, Natalya Berezynska, Rebekah Berkompas, Lærke Bisschop-Larsen, Sveina Björk Jóhannesdóttir, Rachel Brockman, Aleks Byrd, Susan Chin, Valentina Cosciani-Tibisay, Evgeniya Dupliy, Stephanie Earp, Marion Em, Frida Franckie, Katya Gorbacheva, Samantha Guerin, Joanna Herriott, Sarah Heymann, Jonna Hietala, Erin Jensen, Anna Johanna, Malia Mae Joseph, Susanna Kaartinen, Pauliina Karru, Linda Lencovic, Mar-jut Lund-Rahkola, Lotta H Löthgren, Hanna Maciejewska, Aude Martin, Mariya Matveeva, Helen Mawdsley, Faïza Mebazaa, Kathryn Merrick, Tif Neilan, Hanne Kær Pedersen, Paula Pereira, Claudia Quintanilla, Lucía Ruiz de Aguirre, Nataliya Sinelshchikova, Jeanette Sloan, Elena Solier Jansà, Susanne Sommer, Anna Strandberg, Niina Tanskanen, Mari Tobita, Miriam Walchshäusl, Lauren Wallis, Claire Walls and Stephen West. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The book arrived dented on the bottom of the spine and I was so disappointed to find that it is 52 weeks of shawls with a different title.

They draw influence from the beauty of the everyday, cherish natural fibres and want to create timeless, long-lasting garments. but I will definitely make more than one and have spent a very enjoyable afternoon working out which ones will actually make it onto my 'To Be Knit List'.

Nothing brings more comfort than a hand-knitted scarf – from a light wrap for cool shoulders on summer evenings or spring mornings, to a beautiful shawl as the centrepiece of autumnal outfits, or a cosy collar to be layered under winter coats. This collection showcases an exceptionally wide range of yarns, techniques and levels of difficulty and also includes two crochet designs. It is wonderful to come back to your favourite patterns, knit them in many different colours and fibres. The 52 projects have been contributed by leading knitwear designers from across the world and showcase an exceptionally wide range of yarns, techniques and difficulty levels, including two crochet designs.
