About this deal

Okay so first off and for the 5th time now(I started reading these just after the second book came out)...WHY?!?! Seriously Stephanie are you trying to kill me with these cliffhanger cutoffs? I swear to you I will still read the next book even if there is no cliffhanger! I feel like I'm in an abusive relationship with these books lol. Stephanie Hudson had dreamed of being a writer ever since her obsession with reading books at an early age. What first became a quest to overcome the boundaries set against her in the form of dyslexia, has turned into a life's dream. I first started writing in the form of poetry and soon found a taste for horror and romance. Afterlife is the first book in the series of 12 books, with the story of Keira and Draven becoming ever more complicated in a world that sets them miles apart. I have always loved Lucius and Amelia (Kiera and Draven are dear to my heart, but their daughter is awesome!) and was happy where their story progressed, especially after the ending of the last book, "Queens of Sins".

She’s actually a strong character but put the Hero in front of her and all of sudden she is a mumbling stutering mess—I almost felt sorry for her. At first at least. Seeing him again after so many years surely gave her a whiplash but then slowly she started to give the Hero the time of day then I just got annoyed. Honey, he humiliated you!! I don’t care if he had a good reason for it. And then you found out that he has feelings for your own mother! And you’re giving him the time of day as if it was nothing? Afterlife Saga is 12 books in total, which includes the books that are in two parts plus the many spin-off books that follow, as some stories are just too big for one book. At the moment I am finishing Lucius's story in the Transfusion Saga and all 12 books will be released very soon. After that will be the conclusion of Vincent's story, Imp and the Beast, Books 1 & 2 and the other Afterlife King Spin-off series. There is also the Afterlife Academy aimed at a younger audience but still an important part of the whole Afterlife World. Note: I'll be getting into several spoilers here so if you haven't finished it yet then go no further!I'm both super glad and tormented that we are waiting for another book to continue in my opinion the best set of books I've read (including Afterlife in them because how can we not). Stephanie Hudson thank you. Thank you for making me understand the meaning of a book slump cause after this book there is NOTHING that compares.. These books have the possibility of being deemed in the top one hundred but the number of problems with the writing makes the books almost unreadable and that's a shame. Finally, I get to the 9th book in the Transfusion series and realized EVEN THAT is to be continued, and now I have even more unanswered questions.

I do believe the series itself dragged on and some of the things that happened were monotonous. I actually quit reading the series for a couple of months because I was truly annoyed. I finally completed it and I am quite happy with the way Stephanie has ended it. EXAMPLE: she is not a morning person. Well, join the 3/4 other billion people, yet feels the need to dramatize: The Forbidden Chapters.. part 1 covers Afterlife saga books 1-3. Can be read straight after them or maybe best after the saga. No right or wrong time to read it. Steph has also said she may look at releasing part 2!! Vincent and Ari's story was to be continued, Jared, Sigurd, Seth and Lucifer's stories were never even started, and then the Transfusion series was written, which was YEARS after in the timeline (which often mentioned or hinted about previous characters and storylines...like the Blood Wars, urm... wtf happened? Inquiring minds want to know!

Yes, I missed lucius, I won’t lie and did the Mcbain bro’s make up for it? Nope. Not for me. Yeah sure Trice is hot but for a die hard lucius fan that’s not a factor. I will Always be a hard core Lucius fan and I couldn’t wait for him to get his own saga as Stephanie had promised. When I found out that Amelia was his chosen one I didn’t know how to feel but damn it, if I wasn’t intrigued. And again our author goddess did not disappoint. I absolutely love the transfusion series. The wrong use of the word ' as' is so numerous it would take a chapter on its own to describe. Let's just say it is far too many mistakes for a writer of this many books not to have learned proper writing skills at some point. Gobbled this up in a day... I love this author... i read afterlife up to book 7 as i felt the story was getting way to dragged out so i stopped there. I started this with some prior knowledge of the world and its characters, which is a must when starting this book.

She’s a talented novelist when it comes to her extensive world-building too, creating vast and expansive universes. This sense of scope and scale is massively entertaining, allowing the reader to really explore the stories and series that she’s created over the years. A unique and individual voice within her particular field, Stephanie Hudson is unparalleled, becoming a household name for many. With her characters standing the test of time too, she continues to draw in readers from all around the world, as her audience grows day-by-day.The Afterlife Academy starts approx 15/16 years after the end of Happy Ever Afterlife!! (aimed at a younger audience but definitely worth a read for everyone, especially if you want to know what happens to the the 2 baby souls!!!). Some of the new characters in these books will pop up in the other Afterlife Kings books and in the Transfusion Series so you may want to meet them for the start of their journeys!! THE HEROINE SEEMS TO FEEL EVERY THOUGHT SHE THINKS MAKES HER AN ESPECIALLY SPECIAL LITTLE SNOWFLAKE. Whiny, immature 27 year old professional archeologist virgin is pursued by 1000 year old vampire king who broke her heart 7 years earlier. To be fair, he was a LOT older than her, she is the daughter of his boss, and they didn't actually have a relationship except for her little girl-esque crush, so I kind of side with the vampire on this one. He didn't so much break her heart as tell a spoiled brat princess "no." But I digress...

GOD'S Why oh why did I wait so long to read this book,oh yes waiting for the next two books so I could binge read them all as I knew they all end on a cliff hangers. Soo firstly I really appreciate learning Lucius’ past finally. It only took 6 books to get that. And I must say Lucius is as sweet as I thought. Still super dangerous obviously but super sweet to Amelia. Even as a baby. And he is a irrational as her too. Fitting considering. Like to feel such guilt for something he didn’t do on purpose was ridiculous. And he felt and still feels the guilt. It’s craziness for sure. Our girl is a bass ass which we all knew she was but she saved everybody infront of her Daddy which yet again I thought was a lovely touch because he would not believe how resourceful she was before this time. Growing up with a strong fascination in the written word, Stephanie Hudson would start writing from an early age. This would continually develop throughout the years, allowing her to become an influential writer in her own right in time. Reading numerous fantasy novels, this would be something that she’d come to make her own unique name in. This book (No 13) continues straight from where we left off, so we get to see our sexy vamp King go and lay his daughter to rest finally ( I cried soooo much) because it was such a lovely heart warming and sad part of his journey. The use of conjunctions at the start of sentences is so annoying! The odd one is fine, but when it’s 5 or 6 sentences in a row it reads like one long continuous thought. I’ve said this about the last 2 books but it was just as bad if not worse in this one. As well as the conjunctions she used the phrase ‘as for’ so many times e.g as for me, as for you, as for her, as for *insert character name here*, this also became extremely annoying. Now as far as the Kingdoms of Hell is concerned I certainly did not expect it this way. Yes, I knew Amelia was due for her own little adventure. However, I waited the whole book for my vampire king. I’m surprised with the fact that I enjoyed this book so much even tho my king wasn’t in it!
