If you are a fan of the original Splendor, then you will feel right at home as many of the rules are the same and you’ll be playing in seconds. In terms of differences to the original game, you will find that the end game is slightly altered, with players requiring one of each of the colours of gem as well as a Tier 3 card. This is in addition to the 16 VP required.

Take two gem tokens of the same color from the pool (provided, before the turn, there are at least four tokens left of that color). If you are keen on Splendor, learning the rules will be easy, but mastering the game may take you a while.The goal of Splendor is to be the first player to reach 15 prestige points by accumulating development cards and noble tiles. In Splendor, players take on the role of jewellery merchants competing for fame and, well, splendour. Each turn a player will acquire new jewels or spend some stones to grow their gem empire. You might start by building a diamond mine in the snow-white mountain peaks, but soon enough you’ll be opening your own ruby-red shop in the capital. Skilled players might even attract the attention of wealthy patrons, which is sure to raise their renown even further.
