It’s important you apply Easihold in the right weather conditions. Warm weather and most importantly, dry conditions for the 48 hours after application will give you optimal performance from your Easihold binder. We recommend to top-up your Easihold fixed stones annually to maintain stability and for an even more robust finish, we also produce a range of resin-bound surfacing products. We wouldn't recommend to jet wash, that would be quite a lot of pressure directly on to the stones. But can clean with warm water. Most pour on gravel binders contain polyurethane. Polyurethane is most loosely defined as synthetic resin. Indeed, it is often referred to as a resin blend. First, you spread the selected gravel or aggregate. Then you spray it with the EasiHold. Then…errr…that’s it! Job done. There is no more to do. C’est finis!
Pour On Gravel Binder 101: What You Need To Know
Easihold coats the stones in a thin film, and leaves the stones capable of being penetrated by water as normal. So: flags masked-off, gravel in place, all that’s needed now is the EasiHold binder. Apply the binder: One of the main characteristics of decomposed granite is its strength, particularly when it is tightly compacted with a dg stabilizer. When laid in this manner it has close to the durability of concrete, but with the high levels of filtration of a natural aggregate [ 5]. There are some aggregates used in resin bonded systems that have a certain level of iron minerals which is a part of their natural makeup. When exposed to weather, it could result in some areas developing rust spots. This is a natural occurrence in the aggregate but at no time before or during the application can the iron be seen. This can be taken care of after rust staining has been found. Concrete will need at least 7 days to cure correctly.
