About this deal

In fact, a 4080 configuration would have been very interesting for this 2023 ROG Flow X16 series as well, as the performance differences between the 4080 and the 4070 are significant, and some buyers would have paid extra for that. There’s no such option, though, as the Flow X16 tops at a 4070 for this generation. i9 (13th gen) + RTX 4070 or 4060 performance As long as you’re fine with all these, the ROG FLow X16 is going to be an excellent choice for you. Hence, it earns a 4.5 rating and our overall recommendation. Perangkat lunak ROG GameVisual menawarkan enam mode grafis yang dirancang untuk mengoptimalkan pengalaman

The 2023 Asus ROG Flow X16 is listed in some markets at the time of this article, but not all the configurations are available everywhere. Asus implements a complex thermal module on this laptop, different in a few ways from what they implement on their other portable designs. All these combined allow Asus to cool the components in this chassis with lower noise levels than on other designs. For comparison, the similarly powered Zephyrus M16 runs much louder on both Balanced (46dB – M16 vs 42 dB – X16) and Turbo (51dB – M16 vs 46 dB – X16), with lower temperatures on the M16 when the two laptops both sit on the desk, but with higher temperatures on the M16 when both laptops are bumped up from the desk. That’s because those slim rubber feet on the X16 choke the fans, as mentioned already in the previous section, while the taller feet of the M16 and its Ergolift hinge design do not. For connectivity, there’s Wireless 6E and Bluetooth 5 on this unit, with a triple-band implementation. This sample performed well on Wi-Fi with my setup, although the wifi speeds drop a fair bit when going further way from the router, at 30+ feet with two walls in between. For the GPU, this series is available with RTX 3000 Ti graphics chips. What we have on this sample is the mid-tier RTX 3060 running at up to 125W in supported games and applications, with Dynamic Boost. RTX 3050Ti and 3070Ti variants are also available. An updated generation of the 2023 Asus ROG Flow x16 series is available in the meantime, with updated specs and display options. Here’s our detailed review of this 2023 Asus ROG Flow X16 update. Design and construction

Add in a beautiful mini LED touch display option, good IO and inputs, and some punchy speakers, and this Flow X16 is going to be a popular alternative to the clamshell performance ultraportables available in the space at this point, such as the ROG Zephyrus M16, Razer Blade 15 or Blade 16, or the Lenovo Legion Slim 7. For now, though, as long as you’re OK with the particularities of this series and you’re willing to pay the kind of money Asus are going to demand for it, this Flow X16 is the multi-purpose laptop to get in its segment and earns my full recommendation.Expect 45W sustained in CPU only-loads, ~100W in GPU loads, and around 115W in combined CPU+GPU loads (15-25W CPU + 90-100 W GPU). The shorter tests such as 3DMark are very close to the performance scores measured with the main power charger connected, but the CPU performance takes a dip in the sustained CPU loads, as the system power limits it to 45W. Down below I’ve gathered my thoughts and impressions on this 2023 ROG Flow X16 series, with a close look at all the details that you should be aware of as a potential buyer. Specs sheet as reviewed – Asus ROG Flow X16 GV601VI We’re only looking at a 5-10% loss over the Turbo mode. That’s more than impressive, and the Silent mode is excellent as well on this laptop, especially for casual use and light gaming with a 60 fps cap, as you’ll see further down. This sample limits the GPU to around 55W of power on this profile, which translated into similar performance as on Silent mode – plugged in. But don’t expect more than one hour of gaming on battery power, at least with the current software.

The Flow X16 is the culmination of a relentless drive to pair cutting-edge components with a thin and light chassis. This 16-inch convertible laptop is powered by up to an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU, all while weighing just 2.1 kilograms. With a maximum TGP of up to 125W on the RTX 3070 Ti thanks to Dynamic Boost, this machine is able to go pound for pound with much larger and heavier competition. Spec-wise, the 2022 ASUS ROG Flow X16 series is built on the latest AMD Ryzen HS and Nvidia RTX hardware available to date. The Ryzen 9 6900HS is an AMD Rembrandt 6000 processor, with 8 Cores and 16 Threads. It’s the more efficient bin of the standard Ryzen 9 6900HX found on full-size laptops, with almost the same capabilities as long as provided with enough power. It’s also a revision of the Ryzen 9 5900HS from last year, built on the updated Zen3+ 6 nm technology, with improvements in design, IPC, and efficiency. I’ll also add that having the laptop on either single or multi-zone screen mode doesn’t impact the runtimes in any notable way, per our tests. Multi-zone might allow the display to consume less power with some content, but the differences are within the margin of error.

Furthermore, when opting for a mini LED configuration of this laptop, you must understand that the mini LED panel takes a toll on battery life, so this won’t be able to last as long on a charge as a configuration with an IPS display. The portable and lightweight Flow family has a new member. ROG is proud to introduce the Flow X16, a convertible thin and light laptop with gaming horsepower that belies its size. Paired with the stunning Nebula HDR Display and fully compatible with the XG Mobile ecosystem, the Flow X16 is ready to redefine how you look at ultraportable gaming laptops. Gaming horsepower you can take anywhere And then this is also a touchscreen with a digitizer and pen support, so it can be used as a huge tablet. An Asus 2.0 pen is bundled in. an IPS panel from BOE, branded as “ROG Nebula”, with 2560 x 1600 px resolution, 500+ nits of peak brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. Asus are keeping the design language consistent within the ROG Flow series, with the X16 being more-or-less a grown-up ROG Flow X13, with similar design lines, materials, and finishing details on the two.
