The “DX” version also comes with an exclusive lanyard. Similar to the faceplate, the lanyard has Tamagotchi and Sanrio characters, surrounded by strawberries and hearts. It comes with a cell phone strap, making it easy to attach to your Tamagotchi device. Originally I thought I wouldn’t ever use the lanyard, but I’ve actually been using it a lot! It’s convenient to wear while doing chores around the house, so you can keep your pet with you without worrying about misplacing it. The Tamagotchi On features both Bluetooth and infrared connectivity, allowing it to connect to other On devices, and an app through tablets or smartphones. The Japanese Meets can connect to the m!x, including exchanging presents and playing games, but cannot marry. While the On and Meets can connect, they cannot send and receive gifts from each other. Additionally, the On cannot connect to the m!x. If the Tamagotchi is about to die or run away, selecting this icon will save them, returning the Tamagotchi to normal. Balloon Game: Hello Kitty will appear flying in the air with balloons, and the user's objective is to help her avoid crows and collect balloons. The A button moves her up, and the B button moves her down. Hello Kitty will gradually float down if no buttons are pressed. Hello Kitty can hold up to two balloons, and each time she hits a crow, she will lose one. Collecting a balloon will restore one to Hello Kitty if one had been lost. The game is a "Failure" if both of her balloons are popped, "Success" if she clears the game with one balloon, and "Great Success" if she clears the game with two balloons. Pressing the C button closes the game.Tama Pet Salon: The Tamagotchi will be grooming Rinsetchi. The user has 10 seconds to shake the device as much as possible to lather the pet up. Conversation: The Tamagotchi will ask a question and the user will be given answers to choose from. The Tamagotchi may then reference the answer later in another conversation or when talking to another Tamagotchi. They may also tell the user how they feel about their caretaking.

Melody: One of the two launch versions. It features exclusively access to Melody Land and its characters.

By connecting and marrying two different versions, physical traits inherited from a character exclusive to one version can be carried over to another. This allows for infinite outcomes of offspring. Food Delivery: The Tamagotchi will be driving a scooter to deliver food to a customer. Tap left or right to avoid obstacles in the road. Somen Noodle Catch: The Tamagotchi will be at a Kaiten restaurant waiting to catch somen noodles that are sliding down from the left and right sides. When a batch of noodles comes, the Tamagotchi will move to catch it and the user must press the A button (left) or B button (right) to get it. The words catch will appear at the bottom signifiying when the user should press a button.
