About this deal

The mayhem is strong. Repercussions from the previous battle are quite high and that means we need to have a little training arc. Everything in this world has a high price and damn, there are no sales. There are supposedly 11 volumes published in Japan, so we are over a third of the way through the story, and I am thoroughly enjoying the mix of violence, humor, conspiracy, and over the top commentary on human nature.

Denji and Power’s chaotic duo energy continues to be a joy to see. They both share a single brain cell, but at least they’re trying. Also feed bad for Aki, poor guy has lost and given up so much.In volume 4 we are introduced some new characters - very much liking Kishibe who has been tasked by Makima to train Denji and Power into becoming fearsome devil hunters with pretty hilarious and bloody consequences. I really think Denji and Power are a great pairing and I am weirdly rooting for them! The end of the volume introduces us to new characters, new fiends and they are even bigger abominations than Denji and Power. Denji was a small-time devil hunter just trying to survive in a harsh world. After being killed on a job, he is revived by his pet devil Pochita and becomes something new and dangerous—Chainsaw Man! With our main hero going face to face with another demon can he win this time? When the fight ends, the real story just begins. People getting squashed out of nowhere, the hottie Makima shows off why she runs the show and it is scary as hell. Denji and Power get introduced to a old geezer who's a bit crazy but teaches them plenty. Aki exacts revenge or begins to form his plan after the death of a loved one.

The demons are cool and the powers they have are pretty unique. There's a lot more political plotting going on than I expected as well. The world of Chainsaw Man gets developed. Makima's powers are awesome, this girl is a badass and i love her. The dynamic duo (Denji and Power) works really good for me, they complement each other pretty well. Denji's a poor young man who'll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil-dog Pochita. He's a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he's betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji's become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man! Tatsuki Fujimoto 藤本タツキ (Fujimoto Tatsuki) is a Japanese manga author, mostly known for Chainsaw Man. I'm getting obsessed with this manga. There were a couple of things set in the previous volume that were reveil here and there was one that was expected but i liked the execution of it so it was fine for me. The story keeps going on with new characters, new demonds and new contracts and i can't wait.
