About this deal

Therefore, the last few Beatles LPs— Yellow Submarine, Abbey Road and Let It Be—were mixed only in stereo. The Beatles Box Set included all of the original UK album releases by the band, together with the 1967 US album Magical Mystery Tour.

featuring new photos and spectacular new layouts, this book is exclusively available in this Box Set. The Beatles Box Set is a sixteen-disc box set compiling the entire recorded works of the Beatles as issued by the band between 1962 and 1970. Despite the extra time that a 24bit/192kHz or even a 24bit/96kHz master would have taken to create there was, according to Magee, no real deadline for this project. Because of the cutter head, according to Magee, “It has a limited frequency response and cuts off at 24kHz.This means all the digital edits and mastering found on the streaming/CD versions are all here on the LPs. Couple of minor issues that I found, other than the fairly poor looking covers, are "In My Life" which sounds quite muddy and "Good Day Sunshine" which suffers from sibliance on the "s" sounds during the chorus. The flip-back sleeves are missing for the UK 1st release covers (but would later included on The Beatles - The Beatles In Mono in 2014) and Let It Be is missing it's original box or "Get Back" book.

John Lennon did not like the stereo mix of his song " Revolution" on the 1967-1970 compilation album.

Even though there was no compression on these pressings the nature of the EQ – an Apple stipulation – meant that the vocals sounded slightly restricted.

The most important part of the figure is the 24bit but not the 96kHz or 192kHz because the cutter head won’t even cut that content up to 48kHz. There’s the originals, hundreds of recuttings, MFSL pressings, DMM pressings, digital remasters and digital transfers. As a cutting engineer, anything of significance level above 16kHz is dangerous, you don’t want that going to your cutter head because it gets very hot and can destroy it. The instrumental separation was not only superior but, once separated, each instrument was spotlighted and enhanced. I‚Äôm doing this off top of my head, as it‚Äôs easy to get confused with catalog numbers ,and Capitol Records ‚Äú Fold Down ‚Äú in verso.Love Me Do should have been actually listed as the original "Ringo" single version, it says nothing so leaves everyone guessing that it's the approved since 1963 Please Please Me album Andy White version! All the other Parlophone first , second and third pressings up to early seventies are all mixed the same way as Rubber Soul in Stereo. The box also contained the 1988 compilations Past Masters: Volume One and Past Masters: Volume Two, which grouped together singles, B-sides, EP tracks, and foreign releases not found on the band's UK studio albums. This was why I used the official 1978 masters box set which does allow me to sample the official master tape-derived masters from a similar time period.
