There's a similar capacity battery in the Amazfit Band 5 and that can give you 15 days in typical usage, 25 days in power-saving mode and a big 90 days in standby mode. It's a similar story to what you'll get from the Mi Band 6 on the Band 5. Use all of the features and you'll get closer to a week, but you do have the capacity to get a couple of weeks out of it. For the Mi Band 6, you're getting something with a similar sized polycarbonate case and plastic strap combo with the same style pin clasp that we can't say we absolutely love. That houses a larger 1.56-inch, 152 x 486 resolution AMOLED display. You're getting the same water resistant rating as the Amazfit Band 5 here too.The Amazfit Band 5 also offered reliable data with plenty of detail, although we found sleep duration details to be over estimated, which often painted a rosier picture. At , it's a little pricier than the Mi Band 5 ( ) and a lot closer in price to the Samsung Galaxy Fit 2 ( ) and the Huawei Band 4 Pro .
The major difference between the two here is that the Amazfit has an SpO2 sensor that's capable of measuring blood oxygen levels for that extra insight into your current state of fitness. What we found with the Band 5 is that it's a bit of a mixed bag in terms of what you can expect. When we took it running outside, you need to launch the app on your phone first before it can establish a GPS connection. It's got a 5ATM waterproof rating, which means it's safe for showering and a swim up to 50 meters' depth. Now, we think this might be a combination of things. It may be that the Band didn't sit tight enough, despite using it on the tightest fit option available. There must be some software issues here too.The maximum storage space for music is 2.2GB (due to the system space occupied, the actual space used by the user may be less than 2.2GB); based on 5-10MB per song, it can store up to 270-470 MP3 songs.
