About this deal

A quick comparison between a few shades I use in the NARS range including the All Day Luminous Foundation in Stromboli and Barcelona and Velvet Matte Skin Tint in St. Long time readers may remember I used to use the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Punjab (formula is thinner than the new one). If there isn't enough emollience on my skin I find I get a very matte finish and it can look quite cakey, flat and unnatural on me.

Also when I've tried to go for a minimal look and use a little bit of product it's more matte but when I've used an ample amount and opted for full coverage, it's more of a satin matte.Sheer glow has a confusing name and any review you may watch on it, I can almost guarantee the person talking about the base will tell you that it is not a sheer foundation! Personally I like to wear this foundation on bad skin days where I have a lot of blemishes and scars to cover. It's really confusing as I've heard mixed reactions from all skin types, so so confused, but ultimately it's not the best formula for me. It helps support skins elastic fibers to smooth the look of skins texture over time for optimal radiance. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation is a glowing, natural radiant finish foundation with sheer and buildable coverage that immaculately evens skin tone.

From my personal experiences with this foundation and my understanding of it's formula (you know I like to dissect formulas), I would say it will work best for those with combination oily skin or for those with a Normal/oily skin type or those with dry but smooth flake free skin, I feel like if you have oily skin it breaks up the foundation and makes it patchy. This foundation does not wear well on my skin at all, Nars say that this looks better on the skin as the day goes on but for me it looks worse and worse. Right now, what are your top 2 foundations mostly in terms of shade match - my skin tone seems very similar to yours(yellow/olive)but I'm so TIRED of wasting my money on foundations that look so orange!I also have noticed that when I look really closely in the mirror I can see actual product on my skin, minuscule cakey pigments or powders that are just sitting atop of my skin which does get progressively worse throughout the day, I'll explain this in more depth in the Longevity section of my review because I feel like the finish is definitely linked to the longevity too. and my skin looks the same colour as when I applied it, it's stayed where I put it and I can rely on this to photograph gorgeously.

They mention that it has a light consistency, is easy to apply, and provides medium coverage with a subtle healthy glow. It claims to give you 16 hours of wear, however I actually find that sheer glow lasts longer on my skin before it starts looks shiny. I'm also working on the Fenty foundation which I really really like, as well as a couple of other foundations, they'll hopefully be a bit more positive than this one and it'll hopefully get me back into the swing of things as I did feel a bit all over the place with this review! Mimics skin’s tone with a unique combination of a translucent base with micronized amino-acid coated pigments and mineral tone balancing powders, fusing with skin for the closest match. Right now on me it lasts all day but it’s not transfer-proof if you touch your face (ie fingers or to sunglasses).Although the foundation can be built up for more coverage, this is the go-to product for a transparent, weightless foundation with sheer to medium coverage.
