About this deal

I don't think this is old fashioned, nor sexy, nor interesting, and certainly not memorable. But it's *nice* and clean, and finally my curiosity is satiated. I've smelled this before though, no doubt about it! It's very familiar, although I can't recall who it was on (it's actually driving me nuts). I have no doubt most people have encountered this somewhere, at some point. You'll probably think "Ohhhh...this! OK, I know this smell! 💡"

For women this scent could possibly be extremely sexy in a subtle way. I envision a woman age 26-36 with natural fresh makeup in a floral feminine demure dress and kitten heels with a soft gentle voice wearing this scent on a date. It's the fragrance equivalent to natural looking bare-faced date makeup - mascara and nude lip gloss . In an intimate setting, it is sexy because it has such close sillage and smells like subtle soap or shower gel, the guy assumes he is smelling you and your bare freshly soaped nude skin. I love the smell of fresh sheets and clothes imbued with the scent of the sun and the wind they've dried in. This fragrance captures that perfectly. It's an instant clean, fresh water feeling. Just lovely. Not sure why people are upset that this smells like fabric refresher or laundry, when it says right on the bottle, that's pretty much what it's supposed to be like? Anyway, highly recommend for clean scent lovers who are ok with lavender! Sillage is light but longevity is really good for me (5-7 hours), which is impressive considering it's an edt! This fragrance gives me similar vibes of Blanche (Byredo), I don't know if I could call it a dupe of its own but certainly lovers of the genre should consider it as an affordable option. It's very nice. Something to put on after a shower and you will smell clean for 3-4 hours. Won't last all day and while it's most definitely not a "night-out" scent nor is it a "special occasion" fragrance...it's probably one of the BEST choices for your "casual jeans & T" or "running errands" scents.

More From Feelunique

I'm no perfume expert, so please excuse my inability to identify specific notes. All I know is that my skin plays best with light, cozy, white musk type scents and on me, Pure Grace turns into something very warm and sensual. It is definitely clean and fresh, but not at all soapy on me. To me, it's way more complex and beautiful than just shower fresh - I can't imagine what kind of magical water I would have to use to smell like this just from bathing. Ignore the above votes that say this reminds them of Jennifer Aniston's debut perfume. It smells NOTHING like it. Absolutely nothing. The scent by "Clean," I've never smelled but I would bet money that it smells identical to that one. But not Jennifer Aniston. But when i pulled on a pad, a whole tread of roots and more pads came along, including a precious flower. I loved it, and I still do. It is light and fresh, but with that muskiness in the base that makes it last on the skin. It doesn't lean too citrus or too white floral. It's a really unique blend that I haven't smelt in any other perfume! It's very feminine and soft.

Pure Grace gets a bad rap for its limited sillage and longevity for good reason, but in my experience it draws regular compliments from people who enter or come close to my space bubble long after I cease to perceive it. I even have a handful of friends and loved ones who go out of their way to greet me with a hug just to get a whiff of my collarbone (my go-to application spot), even after I’ve spritzed it on 6 or 8 hours prior. I like the idea that people don’t smell me (read: my loud perfume) when I simply walk into a room. 😬 Soft, powdery, soapy floral. So soapy! So powdery! This is close to being one of those ideal just-out-of-the shower scents. Or your just-drifting-off-to-sleep scents. Or your damn!-everyone-keeps-telling-me-I-smell-clean-and-fresh scents. And - honestly - we all need at least one or two of those scents in our collection. Hopefully Fragrantica might update the listings with the new bottles and specify more clearly which is the EDP and EDT... but in the meantime, I'm writing this review to clarify for myself. It's not a bad fragrance, but it's definitely not something I would buy. First of all, the fragrance itself is just... meh. Nice, but too basic… Don't get me wrong: it's delicate, fresh and clean, floral, slightly sweet and soapy. However, it's nothing memorable. I would love a body cream, deodorant or body wash with this fragrance, but not a perfume. Rather than an EDT it seems almost a cologne because of the low longevity. It's a good scent, but I almost feel like it has no personality. There are also some pros: I really like the minimal aesthetic of the bottle. I think it can be a good perfume to give to young people who want to approach the world of perfumes, quite blind buy safe in this case. Speaking of price, it's not bad, maybe slightly overpriced. By using a body lotion as a base, the fragrance stayed on my skin longer."

I just received this perfume a few days ago and it is NOTHING like I thought it would be! I was under the impression it would smell like a nice, clean, creamy soap. Kinda like a bar of Dove soap. Not at all. To me this smells so, so similar to Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc. I get a lot of that same citrusy coconut vibe that SB has. Almost verging on a citrus cleaner or bug spray. Soap! Smells very nice. I like it. I've always liked it. I've had it for...at least a year now, if not two years. It's not something I reach for often necessarily but it's very clean. It's 200% unisex. You see this fragrance smells exactly like johnson baby shampoo, the yellow one. Powder, but with a noticeable hint of chemical detergent. I smell a powder note, a mild slight white floral and slight chemical note. Linear fragrance, apart from alcohol on first spray, there are no levels to this. The sillage is very weak. You have to be very close or use a ton to smell it. Longevity is moderate maybe 2 hours but with weak sillage. It isn't what I wanted, I wanted a very powdery talcum powder smell. I wanted a slight comforting vanilla note too. This is distinctly not baby powder but is definately baby shampoo (and not baby oil either) . Another fragrance it reminds me of is CLEAN shower fresh, when it has dried right down and is coming to the end of longevity, the mild faint trace that remains is like baby grace.

Needless to say, my friend was quite relieved when I gifted her a full bottle of her signature scent, and all was right in the world again. what I love about philosophy is the fragrances are soapy and inoffensive but have a selection of powerfully emotive notes. I find the lasting power to be fine, though because I love the smell so much, I touch up over the day, especially if I've been running around. I imagine if someone hugged me they'd feel secure and warm, safe and happy. It's how I feel wearing it. Lightly and soft, yet longevity are so long (12hrs it still lingers on your skin), but poor sillage, spray on your clothes can help to show more smellIn saying that, wearing this helps me fool myself into thinking I am a well-rounded, cultured, kind, approachable woman who always wears white cotton or linen and maintains a spotless home (Ahahahahaha - dreams!). On Fragrantica, these would be the EDTs: Amazing Grace 20th Birthday Special Edition, Amazing Grace Melarie Odelusi Limited Edition They have a clean, soapy smell, so they are perfect for spraying right after showering and moisturizing your skin. My reaction to all the above-mentioned perfumes was the same: one sniff and they went into the "gift/giveaway" box. My significant other got me this, specifically the EDP, for Christmas last year. He said he’d asked a friend for input and the friend recommended it because *his* wife wears it and he and SO both liked it on her. I don’t think I’d noticed it on her, but I like her general style, so I was looking forward to trying it.
