About this deal

This medicinal product contains 31 mg of sodium per dose. To be taken into consideration by patients on a controlled sodium diet. Side effects: See SPC for full details. Hypersensitivity reactions e.g. rhinitis, angioedema, urticaria, bronchospasm, skin reactions and anaphylaxis. Nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, gastrointestinal ulceration, gastrointestinal haemorrhage and gastritis. Renal dysfunction, increased blood uric acid levels, elevation in aminotransferase levels, prolonged bleeding time, thrombocytopenia, ecchymosis, sodium and fluid retention bronchospasm, tinnitus, temporary hearing loss, nervousness and dizziness.

This product should not be used by patients taking other sympathomimetics (such as decongestants, appetite suppressants and amphetamine-like psychostimulants) (see section 4.5). The following adverse events have been observed in clinical trials with phenylephrine and may therefore represent the most commonly occurring adverse events. Patients who suffer from asthma, allergic disease, kidney or liver problems should consult their doctor before taking this product.
