However, after one afternoon of play I could tell the second floor of this house might eventually break.My daughter and her friend kept leaning on the second floor with their hands and the support structure does NOT appear to be strong enough to handle much weight---it kept on creaking like the plastic was going to snap!

My theory of my doll house for some odd reason just being the same moulding but without the technology was correct! It was my first Barbie “dream house” and the wave of nostalgia was so strong after I found these pictures! I know the battery slot is still there because it was made in the original mould, but like …It’s a bit odd. Why go through the effort of bagging the house when it already has a handy cardboard shroud to keep it from getting dusty? When Barbie puts her access card in the front door slot, the house welcomes Barbie home, and the front porch light comes on.I think this dollhouse is cute and bought it for my 3-year-old daughter so she could have a fairly compact house for her Barbies.
